River Cruise for Two

This delightful experience provides a memorable day out for two adults. Take a scenic riverboat cruise on the Golden Slumber through Oxford on one of the busiest and most colourful stretches of the Thames. Head downstream towards Iffley village, passing the ancient Folly Bridge, Christchurch College, Meadows and the university rowing houses. This stretch (locally known as The Isis) is a particularly busy stretch of the river with rowing eights, punts, university boats and large pleasure cruisers, all coming together in a lively display of all that the river has to offer.

Your experience will begin with a warm welcome aboard the vessel where you will be greeted by your skipper who will provide you with a safety briefing before departure. Throughout your scenic cruise you will receive an informal commentary as you pass by the sights of Oxford on this fascinating stretch of river.

  It took a while to book this cruise as we could not find a date suitable until October! The whole experience was really amazing! we were only 5 people on the boat so we felt really safe. The skipper was really nice and happy to tell us all about the history of Oxfords rivers. We had a lovely time and would definitely do it again!

  We were bought this river cruise as a gift, and had to postpone booking due to the summer lockdown. However the wait was worth it and we had a wonderful morning on the water on a sunny day in September. Our guide was excellent- very informative and friendly, and the route we took through Oxford was so beautiful. A really relaxing way to spend a morning - would definitely recommend! Thank you.

  I received trip as a gift from my daughter but was unable to use it in the time, asked to extend it for six months, which was granted at a small cost. Went on the trip on 3rd August BRILLIANT the captain of the small craft was so charming and knowledgeable about the river, Oxford and its history, I would recommend the trip to anyone and would certainly go on the trip again, thank you.

  I was given a voucher for christmas and used the experience in May. It was so beautiful. The boat and its host were so inviting. The cruise and sights were gorgeous. It was a fab way to see the sights inc wild life. I would love to do it again. It was a great and thoughtful gift!!

  This was purchased as a birthday gift, it cost us a lot of money to get there as we live in Kent. We was disappointed as we thought that we would see more then we did, the guide was brilliant but unless your interested in boat racing it is not for you. It was an expensive day and not very enjoyable.

  Unfortunately on the day we had torrential rain. The crew did their utmost to make it a good experience. However, felt more commentary would have improved the occasion. Like the intimacy of the boat (only 12 of us) which enabled lots of questions.
