  While the comedy we saw was good, the hosting company refused to accept the voucher for our nearest venue, even when spaces were available, because that venue always sold out eventually and they did not feel they made enough from these vouchers versus what they could make on the night. These vouchers, therefore, are for second class guests who only get seats the promotors cannot shift. That itself would be fine if these vouchers were not misadvertised as being available for locations the promoters have no intention of making available. Because of this policy, the booking process did not work automatically and was convoluted and confusing.

When choosing any location it does specify when the experience is available to book - for your chosen venue it does state 'This experience is available on selected dates, subject to availability.' I can only apologise if this was overlooked or missed which led to frustration when trying to book on a date that your voucher was not valid on. I am though pleased to hear that the comedy was enjoyable. Thank you again.

  It's a nightclub in a basement with a very low ceiling. You have to have your ID card scanned and get fully frisked (drugs and weapons check) in order to gain entry. Again, like a nightclub rather than a comedy club. Place is cramped and poorly lit. Comedians weren't that great, it was a poor show overall compared to numerous other comedy events that we have attended elsewhere.

    Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment in your comedy night. This experience is advertised as being for years 18+, and so on occasions ID will need to be checked. I can only apologise however if you felt the security checks to be too tight and therefore lessening the enjoyment of the experience. I am likewise sorry to hear that the venue and comedians themselves let you down.   I was pleased with the voucher although I could not book the comedy show Friday or Saturday a restriction in the small print. Was a present so was disappointed. The show was ok although allocated front row seat no leg room in the Covent Garden comedy club. Acts were good though

  Bought as a christmas gift. Couldnt get in to london venues as left it too late. Went to the ram jam club in kingston. Very small cosy venue but thoroughly enjoyed our night.

  Activity Superstore gift box for two guests £35. Paying on the door at the venue, on the night, two guests £8. Same night, same seats, same experience. Do the maths.

    Thank you for providing your feedback. On the door at some Comedy Night venues the price may be slightly cheaper as there is no guarantee that you will be able to attend the experience. Booking in advance ensures you have a space booked, a seat reserved and you are able to attend the night without any disappointment. Having looked into this, at the Seven Dials Club in Covent Garden the direct price for tickets are £16 per person and we sell the voucher for £17 per person. As a third party company that offers 26 locations for this experience, we have to create a voucher price that covers the cost of each individual venue.
