Terms and Conditions

Please read this page carefully before purchasing your experience gift voucher. These terms and conditions form the basis of a contract between us (Activity Superstore), and you (the purchaser and/or any subsequent holder of the experience gift voucher).

Obtaining Your Voucher

The Activity Superstore issues face value vouchers ("Vouchers") entitling the Holder to choose, up to the value stated on the Voucher, one of a range of activities or overnight breaks ("Experiences") supplied by the Activity Superstore and provided by selected suppliers.

Vouchers purchased from Activity Superstore over the telephone or via the Internet will be issued directly by us to the purchaser or, on the purchaser's direction, to another person nominated by the purchaser ("the Holder"). Special arrangements can be made, for an extra charge, if you wish to use one of our presentation packs.

Delivery

All purchases are sent out by first class Royal Mail delivery as standard incurring a fee. Purchases can only be delivered to a UK postal address and bought with a UK registered credit or debit card. Pay Pal and Apple Pay are able to be used and MAY be compatible for purchases outside of the UK, provided delivery is to a UK postal address. Please allow 1-2 working days for delivery on all experience day vouchers, gifts and personalised gifts may take a longer to be delivered. There is the option to send via Special Delivery incurring a further cost, this can only be added to experience day vouchers. All experience day voucher can be sent as an E-Voucher and these should be received within 2 hours of purchase.

All experience day voucher orders totalling over £200 will be sent out via Special Delivery, free of charge.

Voucher Validity

Please check the season of any intended experience, as this may be shorter than the Voucher validity. You will find the expiry date printed on the Voucher. You must book and complete your experience prior to the expiry date, please note booking lead times apply. If you are unable to use your Voucher within the validity period, the Voucher can be extended for a period of up to six months (excluding promotional vouchers). A Voucher can only be extended once and must be done while the voucher is valid. A £20 administration fee is payable if you choose to extend your validity. Extended or Exchanged Vouchers cannot be refunded.

Choosing Your Experience

You may use your Voucher to book any† of the qualifying activities from usemygift.com. If you have not already been provided with a Voucher for the type of experience you are interested in, or wish to change to another experience type, contact us through either website activitysuperstore.com or usemygift.com via live chat or email. If appropriate, your original Voucher will be replaced.

Please note once a date has been booked with an Experience provider your Voucher is no longer available for an exchange, extension or refund and will be deemed to be used at that point.

Exchanging Your Voucher

A Voucher can be exchanged for another Voucher†, up to the face value stated on or in it or to the value paid on proof of a receipt being provided. This face value may be provided in a bar code on the voucher and can be accessed using a QR or Bar Code scanner on a smart phone. All exchanges are subject to the restrictions below, without incurring a fee.

A difference will be payable if the chosen experience costs more than the face value of your original Voucher and the value of your new Voucher will be increased. If your chosen experience is cheaper, we will hold the difference as a credit against another experience. In this case, the credit holds the same expiry date as the original Voucher. The credit cannot be used to pay for the cost of an extension. The exchanged Voucher will carry the same expiry date as the original purchased Voucher.

If you wish to combine or merge more than one Voucher together, as part of the exchange process, then this can be arranged however subject to the following restrictions; you can merge no more than two Vouchers together; if the Vouchers have different expiry dates then the earlier expiry date is taken forward onto the new Voucher, not the later date; only Vouchers purchased from the same retail chain or website may be merged together; and you may not merge any Vouchers previously merged or exchanged.

†Please note Activity Superstore promotional products, some tangible gift products and some choice vouchers are excluded from the list of exchangeable products. All exchanges are processed at Activity Superstores discretion, Activity Superstore has the right to decline or void any exchange.

Customer Requirements

Customers must be aged 18 years or over to buy gifts containing alcohol on ActivitySuperstore.com and must provide proof of age if requested. By completing the order the customer is confirming they are aged 18 years or over. On delivery, the customer may be requested to show proof of identification (with a photograph) to verify the age of the person accepting delivery. If acceptable identification cannot be provided the goods will be returned to the supplier, but you may still be charged or incur additional costs.

Age, Size and Health Restrictions

For safety reasons, some activities have certain size, age and health restrictions. You are required to notify Activity Superstore and/or the provider of any relevant medical condition. Our Contact Centre/or the provider can advise of any restrictions at the time of purchase and/or booking.

Bookings

In order to enjoy your chosen experience and to arrange a time and place for your experience you are asked to choose your preferred location then follow the booking instructions.

You may be required to send your Voucher to the chosen provider to confirm your booking in advance: if so we recommend you keep a record of your Voucher number and use registered post, as your Voucher is a valuable document. You may also be required to pay a deposit to the provider to confirm your booking in advance. This deposit will be credited back upon completion of your experience. Customers should also note that your Voucher must be presented on the day, in order to participate in the experience. If lost, we regret that Vouchers cannot be replaced.

Please note you may not be able to change your mind once a date has been booked with a supplier.

Experience Availability and Timings

These are given as a guide only, and you may be required to wait between different elements of the experience alongside other participants. Some experience times, days or specific months may incur a supplement fee to be paid.

Description and Photography

We have tried hard to ensure that descriptions, illustrations and experience titles used in the Voucher packs, in all our literature and our website are accurate, however, photographs and experience titles are intended to give a general idea of the experience described, and do not form part of any contract between you and Activity Superstore.

Please note depending on the location you choose the experience title may differ to that of experience title used by our suppliers, but this does not effect your entitlement as described in your Voucher pack.

Insurance

Where applicable, the price of the Voucher includes the cost of providing you with personal accident insurance cover to participants up to 75 years old. This insurance is not available for activities that take place abroad. Full details of insurance cover are available on request.

Activity Cheques

Activity Cheques can be redeemed for any experience or gift from our website excluding overseas activities. A difference will be payable if the chosen experience costs more than the face value of your activity cheque.

If your chosen experience is cheaper, we will hold the difference as a credit against another experience. In this case the credit holds the same expiry date as the original activity cheque. The credit cannot be used to pay for the cost of an extension.

If We Cancel or Change Your Experience

If we cancel your experience, we will tell you as soon as possible, and do our very best to offer an alternative date or location. If specific celebrities or vehicles are featured but are not available on the day for reasons beyond our control, we will try to find the best possible replacement. If this is not possible, we reserve the right to cancel your experience at short notice and re-book you. We reserve the right to reschedule the timings or location of any experience owing to unavailability of the experience, insufficient numbers making the experience unavailable, and other factors beyond our control.

We reserve the right to discontinue an experience, venue, or individual supplier at our own discretion. We will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative experience of the same value, however, if not we will refund your Voucher in full. If you decide to book a different experience and the price of that experience exceeds the face value of your Voucher, you will be expected to pay the difference.

We also reserve the right to make minor changes to your experience. Examples of minor changes include car specification, or order of activities on a particular day.

Activity Superstore is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses incurred by you in attending an experience which is cancelled for any reason.

Weather

Activities may be cancelled due to weather conditions, mechanical failure, or for other reasons beyond our control. If your experience is cancelled because of the weather, you will be able to rebook for a date on which you are able to attend. If you are unable to travel to your experience due to bad weather but the Experience still takes place we may not be able to rebook you without an administration cost.

If You Need to Cancel or Change Your Experience Booking

You should contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel your booking. We will do our best to fill the allocated space, but if we are unable to do so, you may lose your Voucher. You will be advised by Activity Superstore if you can rebook through the cancellation cover. If you need to cancel your experience because of accidental injury/illness to yourself, or a death in your immediate family you should contact Activity Superstore as it may be possible to re-arrange your experience on presentation of a medical certificate.

In Case of Problems

In case of a problem, please speak to the experience provider on the day, so they have the opportunity to resolve any problems there and then. Any other complaints should be addressed with the customer service department at Activity Superstore.

Refunds

If you are not satisfied with your Voucher pack, please call us within 28 days of purchase and we will happily arrange a full refund, excluding any delivery charges, on receipt of your Voucher. Refunds will be paid back onto the credit/debit card used to place the original order, or by cheque. No interest will be paid on the amount to be refunded. Refunds cannot be issued once a date has been booked with the provider.

Please note, personalised items do not fall under our standard refund policy and can only be refunded if damaged or faulty.

All products purchased through a Retailer that have not yet been validated are subject to the specific Retailers returns policy. Any validated vouchers are not able to be refunded and can only be exchanged or completed prior to the expiry date advised.

The Retailer from whom the Voucher is purchased is acting as an agent for and on behalf of (The) Activity Superstore Limited and your contract is with (The) Activity Superstore Limited who is the issuer of the experience voucher.

Prices

We reserve the right to change experience prices without notice. Vouchers will not be issued until payment is collected in full. Prices in our printed material and on our website are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999

A person who is not named on the face of the Voucher or experience purchase letter has no right under the Contracts (Rights of third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms and conditions of booking.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and are governed by and in accordance with English law. The purchaser and Activity Superstore agree that any problems fall under the jurisdiction of the English courts. All the clauses and sub clauses in our terms and conditions are independent of each other. If one clause or sub clause is invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect any other clause or sub clause.

The funds on Vouchers are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. In the unlikely event of the issuer of this product becoming insolvent, some funds on Vouchers may not be available to spend.
