Located on a scenic cliff-top location above the River Thames, this is the perfect destination for this gentle bike tour. After meeting at Windsor & Eton Riverside station, you will jump on board the comfy bikes to begin the tour. Each bike comes with a bell and optional basket which is perfect for resting your coat or keeping your camera close to hand. All of the bikes are single gear, highlighting just how flat and relaxing the routes are. With a comfy leather saddle and handlebars, you're sure to be in for a smooth ride and easy cruising.
The bike tour around the scenic Thames Valley is a flat and largely traffic-free 8 miles (13km) through country lanes and designated bike tracks. There is plenty of time to stop and take photos en-route. During the tour you will pause in the walled garden of a Tudor mansion where afternoon tea is available to purchase, before returning to Windsor via the Olympic rowing lake and stunning views of the castle. A final cycle down to Eton College will reveal where 19 of our British Prime Ministers have been educated.
The tour finishes back in central Windsor, a short walk from the castle, the towns various shopping & eating destinations or trains stations for your return to London. A truly historic day out guaranteed!
This experience is available Thursday and Saturday, March to October.
This experience will last approximately 3 hours.
This experience is for two people. There will be a maximum of 12 other people on the day.
Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for spectators.
The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old.
All riders must be over 5ft (1.5m).
You will need to be able to ride a bike confidently over 8 miles.

Was given to us for Christmas 2017 with 70 couple experiences to choose from. Chose the Windsor bike tour as wanted to do something different despite neither of us having ridden a bike for years. The bikes were well maintained, the route was lovely and our tour guide Trisha was fantastic, pleasant, helpful, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable of the area. Did the tour on 30th October, thankfully it didn’t rain the wind was a bit cold but that didn’t take anything way from what was a great day. Would do it again.

Had this brought as a present. We had a good time it did rain the whole time but we still had fun. Would love to do again in better weather as the bike route was very scenic so would be great to ride along the Thames in the sunshine. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

We found it an interesting little tour, not of Windsor itself, but of the areas to north west along the river. There were a few points of interest on the way which were explained to us by the very diligent guide. The meeting point can be hard to find, if you come to the station from the other side and our only real complaint was the bikes, which were very much baker's delivery boy style. We found the narrow, bent, handlebars difficult, but that said, the rest of the group, who were younger, seemed to have no problem. There were no gears and for the most part not needed, but there were useful baskets to put whatever bags you have. For people who don't ride regularly, the length was about right / maximum, but again, we are older.

A flat ride with a lovely host and guide who interspersed the trip with facts combined with the right amount of humour. Lovely scenery with a terrific coffee and scone stop midway. What a fabulous day we had. One of the hottest days in recent times but we really enjoyed the experience. From Windsor we rode over the bridge to Eton, along the Thames and through some beautiful countryside. Stopped for refreshments then cycled back by the Olympic rowing lake which was great then back through Eton. Our guide was excellent, very friendly and full of very interesting local information along the way. We had such a lovely day and would recommend anyone to try this experience.
