Before the fun begins, you’ll sign a disclaimer and be suited up in official tank-driving gear so you’ll really look the part for this thrilling activity!

An instructor will provide a health and safety brief and show you everything you need to know about tank driving during a demonstration lap, along with a short background on tanks themselves. You’ll learn about the tank’s different controls and how to steer whilst sitting back in the turret seats, enjoying the different twists and turns of the varied terrain. It’s a perfect confidence builder before Dad becomes the driver, where he’ll take the tank for 2 laps around the track. The hatch will be open for one lap and closed for the other, which is where you’ll truly be left to your own devices to enjoy the thrill of tank driving. With advice being provided by the instructor through a headset, it’ll feel like a real-life combat tank driving scenario. The child will be sitting up at the front, experiencing first-hand the exciting views of riding in a tank as they’re taken across the challenging course.

The action doesn’t stop there after you’ve hopped off the tank, as you’ll put your best aiming skills to the test with a paint cannon, which shoots massive paint balls at a target. You’ll be shown how to use this before you battle it out to see who has the better shot out of you both!

This is your chance to drive not 1 but 3 of your favourite supercars! There is a whole range of supercars, from Jaguars to Lamborghinis, to take your pick from. You will be spoiled for choice!

The day will start with a complimentary tea or coffee and a welcome from the friendly team. This trial lessons allows the recipient to experience the thrill of flying and will even count as the first step towards a private pilot's licence.

The trial lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with an instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight including the effects of controls and how an aeroplane flies. The student will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the aircraft.

The lesson will give an insight into the thrills of flying and the student will receive a certificate signed by the instructor.

Around two weeks prior to the retreat you will be sent a questionnaire to enable them to get to know you, if you have a disability, injuries, or limitations we can offer an alternative activity on the day. Most venues have disability access (not London). Mobile phones are not permitted during the retreat.

Located just a 2 minute leafy walk away from the main farm, Badger’s Wood is an ideal location for those looking for a unique getaway. Wildlife is in abundance with regular sightings of wild badgers, foxes, buzzards and owls amongst other bird life. Take your binoculars while you relax in the warm bubbles of the hot tub, you might spot a furry friend!

Escape to this hideaway in the woods for your two night stay with entrance to Hoo Farm. You will stay in their luxury log cabin with traditional timber cladding, vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. This self-catering cabin is open-plan, with a bedroom and living area, bathroom, and kitchen. Feel free to stock up the fridge with as much food as you need to hunker down, snuggle up and relax in your own secluded getaway. If you would like a little relaxation following a long day on Hoo Farm, retreat to the extensive wooded garden and enjoy a long soak in the hot tub, or get the barbecue started for dinner.

Spend two nights literally away from it all in a beautifully appointed Shepherds Huts located in the most spectacular location. The huts have been placed in a location far up on the Moorland near Llyn Barlwyd, not normally open to the public. Each hut has amazing views across the mountains with access to hikes across the hills.

Each hut comes with its own golf buggy, complete with off road tyres, making the short journey to the host hotel a breeze. Guests can come and go to the lounge even if all the adventuring makes walking there a chore.

The huts are fully off-grid and have integrated water, waste and batteries. Each hut comes complete with an en-suite bathroom – the water tank provides a lovely hot shower, there is enough water for two as long as you don’t linger too long!

The kitchenette comes complete with hob and fridge and outside there is a gas-powered barbecue. The huts are serviced each day by the Off Grid team who replenish the water, take away any waste and replace the battery.

Thoughtfully designed for two, the huts have a luxurious king size bed and a log burning stove to take the chill off the evenings. You will also be able to enjoy a bottle of bubbly waiting for you on arrival. Perfect for peace, quiet and quality time together.
