We were given this as a present in plenty of time for my grandson's birthday. After registering online, a few weeks later a plain dented tin box arrived containing a few pieces of paper with very little information about stars, not what I expected after all the advertised hype. I registered the star, named after my grandson, ready for his birthday, little time now left. The certificate arrived, with my grandson's name spelt wrongly, with an underscore instead of an "A". After complaining by e-mail I was advised that several people had complained and that "we have been made aware of a recent error in our warehouse where the letter "A" was unfortunately not printed on any certificates", and that all affected customers would have certificates resent. So I waited, my grandson's birthday now passed, and it took two or three more e-mails before eventually a corrected certificate arrived. Given the fact probably no-one is able to see this star anyway (which admittedly we knew), you'd think that Activity Superstore/Gift Republic, (who is actually selling this?) would, as the seller, actually look at what they are selling to see if it would be acceptable to a buyer. For example, at the very least have some sort of decoration on the tin, such as some stars, pack it sensibly so that it wouldn't arrive dented, and have a bit more information about stars included. Quote: "We do not have any control over the design". Well, don't sell it then! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Charlotte and Nina did their best, others didn't. It's called "QUALITY CONTROL"!

Bought 6 of these for family as a Christmas present all star names was in memory of loved ones that have passed away. When the certificates arrived all had the letter A missing off them I've waited 3 weeks for replacements and they have still not arrived

I received ‘name a star’ as a present and was under the impression that once the star had been named and picked you would actually be able to see it through some means of telescope etc.. but this doesn’t seem to be correct. waste of money and disappointed buyer and receiver.

Really pleasant gift. A stronger presence on a website would be good. For example And accurate “here is your star” as at the moment you only see an image where it is static and unclear. Somewhere virtually that you can see there name that it has been given for the giftee. Currently the only place I can find this is physically in a library in London . I would recommend if these minor changes were made Would like to add the support received iwoth this was exceptional
