Ford Mustang Thrill

The Ford Mustang is a true muscle car, with its ferocious power and its giant engine being more than capable of taking on the best European contenders. Depending on your chosen location you will either drive the GT V8 or the GT 5.0 - both cars are truly incredible!

After you have registered and received your welcome, you will then be given a briefing from your professional racing instructor. After which, you will get behind the wheel of the stunning Ford Mustang for 4-6 laps/miles of the track depending on your chosen venue.

• How long will my experience last?

  This experience will last approximately 2 hours.

• How many people is this experience for?

  This experience is for one person, there will be other people there on the day.

• Can I bring family and friends?

  You are welcome to bring friends and family to watch you take to the track!

• What else do I need to know?

  • The minimum age for this experience is 17 years old.

  • Drivers must be fit and healthy and not suffer from any conditions that may impact their ability to drive the car safely. Maximum weight is 20st (127kg). Minimum height is 135cm (4ft 5").

  • You will be required to hold a full UK or European manual driving licence which must have been held for at least one year with no serious offences, this will need to be presented on the day.

  • The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given an option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Full details are available at the time of booking.

  I received the voucher for the experience from my family as a Xmas present, and finally got to use it in August at Perranporth. To begin with, I was very disillusioned with, what appeared to, lack of organisation. I was in a queue way past my appointment time, and the briefing was very unorganised, and I only caught the end of it. When I got to the pit lane, everything was much more organised. I still had to wait sometime, but all the staff knew exactly what they were doing. When I finally got my Mustang experience.....WOW, it was fantastic. Luckily the weather was beautiful, so my family enjoyed it too.

  On arrival at the park, be careful on the roads because there are pot-holes that will ground out most cars. There's lots of space to zig-zag to the track but it could definitely do with a bit of TLC. Driving up to the parking area you could see other cars out on the track and I was surprised by how many there were, and how many people there were. It was definitely very cool to see all the different vehicles. On arrival at the reception area there were small queues through a very busy but well organised couple of tents to get your waiver form signed and registered in. You're given a card for your cars, an ID card and an SD card to record video footage to from the in-car cameras and sent off to your next spot. The sighting lap was useful but being in the back of a car with a couple of strangers also having the experience made me feel it wasn't great value - I could have been given the information in a briefing on arrival. Ideally it would have been an individual drive around the track on a 1:1 basis for that price. After the sighting lap I was very quickly called to wait for my car, then taken to it for my three laps. They were over very quickly, and I felt the instructor was playing things very safe, asking me to brake really early for example, but he was friendly and helpful all the way around. After the experience (I only had one car) there was a relatively long wait at the media truck to sign out and view the photographs / video. The options are a bit expensive but I still went for the full package, being given the SD card and all the professional exterior photographs added before coming home. Definitely an experience most people should give a try!
