Drift With The Family

Swap the usual family day out for sideways action on a specialist drift track, with expert tuition and a high-speed passenger ride in a BMW drift car. Fancy getting to grips with one of motorsport’s most exciting driving skills? The Drift With Family experience introduces drivers to the art of drifting, learning how to control a car as it slides sideways through corners. It’s suitable for complete beginners as well as drivers keen to improve their technique.

With guidance from professional motorsport instructors, the session begins with a 30-minute briefing covering racing lines, throttle and braking techniques, and track-day safety. Then it’s time to head out onto the specialist drift track, with its technical corners, ‘Zen Garden Roundabouts’ and generous run-off areas designed to support the learning process.

There’s also the chance to experience drifting from the passenger seat, with a fully sideways, high-speed lap in a BMW E90 Drift Taxi. With individual tuition behind the wheel and space for up to three guests to watch from the back seat, it’s a motorsport experience the family can enjoy together.

  This experience is available on selected dates, subject to availability.

• How many people is this experience for?

  One person will drive and there's space for up to three guests in the back of the car.

• What else do I need to know?

  • Minimum age 17 years old.

  • Maximum height 1.88m, 6ft 2'' and minimum height 1.54m (5ft 1in). Maximum weight 18 stone, 115kg. Drivers must be physically fit with no serious health conditions.

  • A full UK manual or international equivalent driving licence is required and will need to be presented on the day. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day, as you will not be covered for damage caused as a result of reckless/negligent driving.
