Overview
For anyone who loves interiors, nature and making things with their hands, this preserved moss art workshop offers a rather lovely way to get creative. Hosted by Botanical Boys in the heart of Coal Drops Yard, the session introduces the fascinating world of preserved moss and how it can be transformed into tactile, three-dimensional artwork. Participants will discover the differences between bun and sheet moss, learn how it is sustainably harvested and preserved, then sketch out their own landscape before layering textures to create hills, valleys and a beautifully organic design.
With guidance throughout, each person creates their own A4-sized moss artwork, mounted in a handcrafted wooden frame. All materials and tools are provided, along with wrapping and a carry bag for taking the finished creation home.
The result? A natural, sculptural piece that brings a touch of biophilic style indoors, without the watering or maintenance that comes with the real thing.
The workshop takes place at the Botanical Boys studio in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross. The experience includes the wooden frame, preserved moss, tools, tuition, paper wrap and carry bag.
