Mtech Lite Formula Renault 6-Lap Driving Experience

For anyone who has dreamed of being an F1 driver, this is the closest you will ever get to fulfilling it! Formula Renault is a class of formula racing which is popular in Europe and is regarded as an entry level series to motor racing.

The recipient of this 6-lap single-seater driving experience will be able to follow in the footsteps of some of motorsport greats, like Kimi Räikkönen and Lewis Hamilton. You will begin with one familiarisation lap behind a pace car to give you a feel of the car and the circuit, then it’s your chance to drive a further 5 laps solo and feel the power under your feet.

On arrival at the venue (scheduled 1 hour ahead of your drive time), you will begin by filling out registration forms and receiving an introduction to the car. This will include a full safety and track briefing, plus tips on driving techniques to ensure maximum enjoyment. Following this, you will be with a helmet, then you will follow a professional instructor in a pace car for your familiarisation lap before you drive 5 laps solo!

The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given the option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.

• When can I go?

  This experience is available Monday to Friday from March to October, weekends may be available for a supplement fee payable directly to the experience provider.

• How long will my experience last?

  You will spend approximately 1½ hours at the venue.

• How many people is this experience for?

  This experience is for 1 person.

• Can I bring family and friends?

  You're welcome to bring your friends and family along to watch, however strictly no pets allowed!

• What else do I need to know?

  • The minimum age is 18, participants must hold a full valid full UK driving licence.

  • The maximum weight is 120.6kg (19st), the minimum height is 157cm (5ft 2'') and the maximum height is 192cm (6ft 3''). Health conditions such as heart problems, epilepsy and other illnesses must be disclosed upon booking.

  • Participants must hold a valid full UK photo licence driving licence (without restrictions).

  Was a great experience driving the Fornula Renault, and something i have never experienced before and would recommend to a lot of people to at least try. But however, there was a lot of hidden costs with adding more laps on at the track (which was definetly needed), insurance excess costs, equipment costs. Which was supposed to be a gift but ended in me spending about £100 myself, to travel and pay for the stuff there as said. The driving experience could of been a bit better as the instructions were very confusing from marshalls of having to seperate from each other on track, meaing you cant overtake cause your too close. Basically been told off for having a bit of fun and getting my moneys worth. Overall good experience would recommend, but be wary of hidden costs and the restrictions you can do out on track.
