If you’re looking for an experience that will get your adrenaline pumping, then look no further than the triple whammy. Flying along zip wires, abseiling into the ‘Abyss’ and parachute simulators, this experience has everything covered. Once you’re into your safety harness its time for the fun to begin. This isn’t for the faint hearted!

Your experience will begin by being kitted out in the safety harness. Then it's off to your first activity, the 250ft indoor zip wire. Climb the long and winding walkway into the rafters to the 250ft indoor zip wire, six stories above the ground. The jumpmaster will attach you and then as you push off take a look below and you'll see the restaurant, friends and family below you as you travel at 30mph before safely entering the landing zone.

Next it's off to climb 143 steps to the abseil zone. A trained instructor will instruct you how to descend and then it's up to you to abseil into The Abyss from 150ft down into the chasm that is the face of steel and the dark and gloomy Abyss.

Last but definitely not least, with your heart pounding, climb the 143 steps again for the final buzz on the 150ft drop. You will have sensory overload as you plummet to the ground before landing safely on terra firma.

Prepare to experience what it’s like to be a professional racing driver in this Simulator Race Experience. At Chandler’s Ford or Halifax, you’ll compete against other drivers in an adrenaline-fuelled race to the finish line.

Starting off in a lower-powered race car, you’ll get to grips with the controls as you qualify for your place on the grid.
Then the fun really begins as you speed round the circuit, wheel to wheel with the other competitors. Once you’ve mastered the race car, you’ll begin moving up the power tiers, battling it out for the all-important podium places. Medals will be awarded to the top three drivers of what will be an exciting and memorable race event

On arrival at the centre, you will need to register before receiving a driver’s briefing, which includes an introduction to the controls on the simulator, and details on how the event will be run. You will then be unleashed onto the circuit for a 20-minute practice/qualifying session. You’ll use this time to learn how to handle the car and get to grips with the best lines in and out of the corners, before getting in that all-important fast lap to determine your position on the grid.

You'll then take part in a series of race heats against your fellow competitors. With all drivers ready, you will find yourself on the starting grid waiting for the start light procedure to commence. With the engine revs rising all around you, you will need to time your start to perfection as the lights turn green. Points will be awarded and preparations made for the next race.

What did you get up to?
I took my family with me on my experience at the London Tombs, London Bridge. Despite not planning our arrival, we only had a maximum 15-minute wait before the show started. Very well organised by both the street clerk and internal reception team, so no delays or confusion experienced. Boasting a large restaurant area (really large!), there is ample opportunity for all to get refreshed after journeying through London. Included within a group of around 25, we were briefed by the reception guide, before heading downstairs for an educational overview of some key events in Londinium’s colourful, and often cruel, history.
The experience continued to be interactive and enjoyable, with all actors playing their part wonderfully. The experience is made by the actors, and they clearly love their job. Our group size was probably at its maximum but at no point did it feel crowded or uncomfortable.
For those planning on visiting with younger visitors, do plan ahead for some very dark and loud experiences. There is an age limit of over 5 however this could be very subjective given the gory content on offer… London Tombs is most definitely not for the squeamish!
The experience lasted for an hour in total, and you exit back into the large drinks and dining area which would be ideal and fun for larger groups or corporate bookings.
What did you enjoy the most?
Our favourite part was learning about the gruesome history of London’s ruling throughout the ages. It was well explained, and incredibly well acted, so everyone remained interested and engaged. There were some notable entrants in the show (think Jack the Ripper!).

Top Tip
1. Ensure that it’s age appropriate for younger visitors as it was genuinely quite scary and claustrophobic in parts… it may not be for all!
2. Try the bar after your visit! They offer a great range of bar food and drinks – including German pitchers and drinking games.
