Guided by expert foragers like John Rensten, author of The Edible City: A Year of Wild Food, you’ll learn how to spot wild delicacies and delve into the rich history of plants, herbal medicine, and ethical foraging practices. Ever wondered how aspirin came from willow trees or how Victorians shaped our parks? This tour serves up the answers—seasoned with wild mushrooms (when in season), fascinating stories, and practical tips for the eco-conscious foodie.
With group sizes capped at 16, this experience is as intimate as it is insightful. Ideal for urban adventurers, budding chefs, and anyone looking to reconnect with nature—ethically, of course. You’ll leave with newfound knowledge, a deeper respect for the wild, and maybe even dinner ingredients!
This experience is available on selected Saturdays, at least twice a month, subject to availability.
This experience will last approximately 3 hours.
This experience is for one person to enjoy, there will be a maximum of 16 people in the group on the day.
The minimum age is 18 years old.

We had a fantastic day in Leeds Bramley Fall Park, on our forage and feast day. Our guide Fez was very informative and knowledgeable. Would recommend this activity to anyone interested in foraging.

I ordered the 'Forage & Cook' experience for my outdoorsy friend for her birthday. Very easy to order online. I opted for the voucher to be posted. It arrived quickly, even though we had a postal strike. The voucher itself was very nicely presented with plenty of info for the recipient. I purchased the Forage and Cook for two for my son who lives in London, for his birthday. He received the email almost immediately. He and his wife were very interested in the Forage and Cook and appreciated the gift.
