Foraging Day with Wild Lunch

Discover the fascinating world of wild food with this immersive full-day Forage and Cookery Experience. Led by a professional forager from Totally Wild UK, this memorable experience combines outdoor exploration, practical learning and delicious seasonal cuisine. With this experience, the recipient will learn how to identify a variety of edible plants, fungi, herbs and seasonal ingredients while gaining a deeper appreciation for the abundance of wild food that surrounds us.

Throughout the day, there will be regular stops to examine and discuss different species, discovering their edible, medicinal and practical uses. They will learn the principles of safe and sustainable foraging, helping them build confidence in identifying wild ingredients responsibly. Along the way, they will sample a selection of delicious wild food tasters, which may include syrups, infused drinks, flavoured salts and other seasonal treats.

Following the foraging walk, they will take part in a hands-on communal cookery session where freshly foraged ingredients are transformed into a delicious three-course lunch inspired by the season. Past dishes have included Wild Garlic and Dehydrated Mushroom Fresh Rolls, Dandelion and Dulse Rice Noodle Salad, Elderflower Eton Mess, and Dandelion Root Crumb with Meadowsweet Cream and Birch Sap Syrup.

After the experience, they’ll receive a detailed email highlighting everything discovered during the day, along with harvesting tips and recipes from the meal, allowing them to continue their wild food journey and recreate the flavours at home.

  This experience is available Friday, Saturday & Sundays, subject to availability, some mid-week dates may be available depending on location chosen.
