After your visit to Kensington Palace, take a waalk through Kensington Gardens and head to The Stablehand pub. Built in 1839 on an old archery range the pub has become a cherished neighbourhood hotspot and was frequented by notable locales throughout it’s history with the likes of Winston Churchill and Tony Blair. A perfect addition to your day out, tuck into a warming and quintessential British Sunday pub lunch alongside a delicious wine or beer, finishing with a classic dessert.

If you choose to visit on a Sunday your delicious menu will include a traditional hearty roast dinner, with a choice of roasted chicken or beef served with all the trimmings including crispy roast potatoes, fresh seasonal vegetables, and fluffy Yorkshire puddings. For dessert a choice of sticky toffee pudding or Bramley apple crumble.

  The staff at Kensington Palace are very helpful and the ad-hoc talks are delivered with humour and historical interest. The headset tour is very user friendly and took just over 2 hours. The Stablehand is a 15 minute walk from the palace and easy to find. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a choice of 2 courses and were pleased with our choice to have a pudding! The roast dinner was delicious. We had a lovely day out.
