Experience Day Review
We arrived at the hotel when check-in opened at 3pm. There were 2 staff members on the desk who greeted us warmly and we were quickly and efficiently checked in. I had to give them a form of ID and provided my driving licence, which they photocopied. I was informed that breakfast was not included but that it was available in the restaurant and given information about the times for breakfast and dinner, bar opening times and where to find WiFi code in my room. The menu for breakfast and dinner was displayed in the lift and the room, along with information about parking, and there was also a QR code in the room to scan to WhatsApp the front desk or for restaurant room service orders. There was also information about the hotel and surrounding area on the tv. Our key card to access our room didn't work initially but this was very quickly resolved, and it worked without issue after that. In the wardrobe there was a safe, 6 hangers and a spare pillow. The room contained double sockets with USB sockets on both sides of the bed, plus 4 additional double sockets around the room, a hairdryer, a bathroom mirror with integral lighting, a shaver point, a spare loo roll, basic toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. There was no hand towel when we arrived but one was put into the room the next day when they cleaned without us having to ask. The toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits were also topped up when the room was cleaned. There was some road noise, but no more than normal for London and we were both able to sleep without earplugs. The bed was comfy, and we were able to adjust the room temperature easily. The fan helped to cover some of the road noise.

1. We didn't have time to use the restaurant, but I loved the variety on the breakfast menu and would love to try the Turkish breakfast if I went back.
2. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper just in case you need them.

This is a very friendly, efficient and clean hotel. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good and hot and there is a good choice at breakfast. It is in a great location not far from the village and is well placed for visits to Morecambe, Lake district and Blackpool. There is a really good garden centre just down the road and lots of places to walk, as well as golf if you play it.

First time in Blackpool and we did it at the end of the season the weather wasn’t that fantastic but all the people we met there especially the owners of the hotel we stayed at all made us feel so welcome and we had a brilliant time. The room was extremely basic and the bathroom was in need of a deep clean as there was black mould in various places. It wasn’t a place we felt we wanted to spend any time in. There were options for breakfast but not any healthy ones. Check-in was efficient and staff friendly.

It took us ages to find somewhere to accept the voucher and when we did we understood why- it was awful! Noisy old and drab sports centre with rooms! Bedroom was clean but window overlooked a flat roof with an extractor fan going all night! Breakfast was ok but you paid extra for a drink and had to be eaten on sticky old warn table in the bar with loud tv going Al the time- do not go to this place !

No I do not recommend this product.

We arrived for our stay to be told there was no reservation for that date and they were fully booked. Apparently we should have arrived on 29th October. After showing my email with the details a room was found that they keep for emergencies, this room was small with one side of the bed along the wall meaning I had to climb over my husband to get out of bed. The room itself was shabby but bedding and bathroom was clean.

We were on the ground floor because my wife has mobility problems. The shower was old enough to have a crack between the wall and shower floor which was black probably mold. The bed was torture for old frail bones. we noticed there were lot of builders staying and they probably could cope with the bed and I am sure found it very good value and. so it was not a gift to us, but a place for cost-effective housing for workmen

Trip to Beamish Museum

Location very convenient for the Beamish Museum. Free parking outside the hotel. Friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. However, the building is in need of a major refurbishment. The bedroom was barely adequate. Only one bedside table, which was cluttered with tea,coffee and the kettle. One of the small milk containers was punctured and the contents were rancid. Television was not properly tuned in and WiFi information was not displayed. The en-suite bathroom was shabby, with a very basic shower. The bed was clean and comfortable. On the second day the rubbish bin was not emptied and coffee and tea were not replenished.
