Overview

The Dunollie Hotel is a charming property with 84 en-suite bedrooms, many of which offer spectacular views across Broadford Bay and the islands of Pabay and Scalpay, the perfect place to enjoy a two night break with breakfast and dinner.

The Dunollie Hotel is set by the serene waterside of Broadford Bay, at the foot of the mountains that lead to the famous Cuillin Hills making this hotel perfectly placed to explore an area rich in the history across the Isle of Skye. Broadford derives its name from Old Norse, meaning the wide bay. In later years, legend has it that this was the site where Bonnie Prince Charlie gave the recipe for Drambuie to Clan MacKinnon, to thank the clan for helping him escape to France. So as guests unwind in the restaurant or bar, it would be perfectly apt to sample a wee dram of this historic liqueur.

Guests could eat within the hotel at the Torridon View Restaurant, where they would be treated to some of the finest local produce and traditionally Scottish recipes. Locally-sourced ingredients, such as shellfish from the neighbouring waters, are matched by the restaurant's breath-taking views of the bay, all the more enjoyable with a fine wine from the hotel's carefully-chosen list. For a more casual setting, head to the Redhills Lounge for a selection of light meals, fine local malt whiskies and ales. You will receive a £40 food and drink voucher at point of arrival.

Thanks to its mountainside location, guests can enjoy countless walks or hikes and, with a little luck, may even catch a glimpse of a golden eagle.
