Rasul Mud Treatment for Two at The Bridge Hotel & Spa

Yorkshire is famous for its beautiful landscapes and the rolling hills and dales. The Bridge Hotel in Wetherby is a Coaching Inn which combines its 17th century origins with 21st century facilities designed to provide modern visitors with a glimpse into the past.

This Rasul treatment for two is based on an ancient Arabic tradition which uses glacial mud harvested from the Austrian Alps as a full body treatment. The mud is rich in minerals and nutrients which make it intensely soothing. Once the mud has been applied, it is left to work its magic in the warming steam which helps it to draw impurities out of the skin for a thorough cleanse which will leave guests feeling thoroughly refreshed.

This experience also includes use of the spa’s facilities for three hours, allowing guests to make the most of their day with a soothing sauna and steam room, a refreshing ice fountain, an experience drench shower and Japanese foot spas which will give this often-overlooked body part a real treat.

There is also an outdoor hot tub for those who want to enjoy a little fresh air as well as a plunge tub which has therapeutic benefits for those who brave it. This experience is a great way for a pair to spend some quality time together with the added bonus of looking and feeling fantastic at the end of it.

Please note, the mud rasul is self applied and there may be other guests in the chamber with you.

  Your treatment will last 30 minutes per person, you can use the facilities for three hours.

  This experience is for two people to share, there will be other people at the venue.

  Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for spectators.

  My daughter bought us this experience for a Christmas present , we travelled over an hour half to get there , to be met by what seemed an inexperienced young member of staff who asked me to fill in a form , she passed me a pen which was leaking ink which I ended up covered in , she didn’t apologises I had to ask her if she had something to get it off . We were then given our robes and flip flops , flip flops were one size and were way to small for my husband . The member of staff then asked if we had been before , to which I replied No , so she started to whisper where all the amenities were. My husband couldn’t hear her at all , so I asked her could she speak up as we couldn’t hear . The changing rooms were terrible only two cubicles and very small when there were a lot of people in there ( which there was ) you could hardly move . The lockers needed a pound coin to be able to use this was not explained at reception when we arrived . The sauna and steam room upstairs both were to be desired , the eucalyptus steam room smelt of sweat , not very relaxing at all .the outdoor hot tub jets were not working there was no bubbles and the outdoor sauna was absolutely Thilthy with cobwebs and dirt , we sat in this for about 2 mins and decided to get out . The mud treatment was no better. We were taken to a chamber that looked like it needed a revamp , cracked tiles , etc no . There was no relaxing music , not even in the snooze room apart from in the reception area . I left not feeling relaxed and feel the Spa day was completely wasted

For all spa experiences we always need a form to be filled out, this is due to medical reasons to ensure you get the best treatment and do not have any allergic reactions to the products used. I can only apologise that the amenities there were not all fully explained or you misheard the information, I can only assume that the 'whispering' was to create a relaxing atmosphere at the venue. In regards to the facilities, I'm sorry that there were not all up to a high standard, we expect only the best from every venue we offer and I will pass these comments over to be looked into.   We had a lovely day at the Bridge Hotel and Spa. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the prosecco on arrival was a great touch. We enjoyed a full body massage which in my opinion was mediocre. The facilities are also in desperate need of updating as they're dated and not in great condition. The steam room when we visited was broken and the hot tubs were really unclean with murky water so we decided not to use these parts which was a shame. The outdoor sauna was also warm, not hot. The Mud Rasul treatment was a laugh and probably the highlight of our day. It was definitely good fun covering each other in mud! We also had afternoon tea which was lovely. Overall the day was nice however I wouldn't visit again.

  Hotel -nice setting and easy to find. The changing area is quite small but s fully equipped. The treatment areas were smaller than expected. My friend and I ended up hanging around for a little while as all the areas were occupied. We booked the mud treatment and foot and leg massage. The mud treatment (self administered) was unusual but made your skin feel really silky. The massage was mainly on the feet and front shin part of the leg. Previous experience of this type of massage has included the upper leg and calf, this one did not but was very relaxing. Some of the rooms were up flights of stairs so a little difficult for those with mobility problems. There is no pool at this venue, something I should have checked when booking. I wrongly naturally assumed there would be one. Overall it was a nice relaxing 3 hours.

  The venue was really cold. The Rascul Mud was not great - the steam room wasn't very hot, and the "mist" to remove the mud, was pitiful - thus needing a hose at the end of the session. The hot tub was not very hot, there was not enough water in it. The food in the evening was un-edible. The service was not great - people were nice people, but professionally it was poor. The venue was nice to look at, the room was warm and comfy. The lady on reception was friendly

  The staff were very helpful and friendly. Some of the facilities were not working while we visited the spa and we couldn't actually get our treatment due to this. They did offer us a refund for the rasul treatment.

  Travelled to Yorkshire for this ‘mud’ experience that was purchased for my wife and I by our son. The hotel looked lovely from outside and was pleasant inside but could do with some updating. The room was clean and large with a nice view. Breakfast was a little under par so we opted to eat out for two nights, which we did in Wetherby and Harrogate. The spa experience itself was a first for us both and we thoroughly enjoyed it - would do again but probably elsewhere as the spa area was needing work/renovation. Despite this we would recommend - but not for us or others travelling such distances as nicer ones can be found nearer home.

  Both hot tubs not working, maintenance man got them working just as our time slot was coming to an end. I asked a member of staff at the spa desk of myself and my partner could stay an extra 30 minutes so we could enjoy the hot tub we was told no. We were sent to the wrong part on the spa for our treatments we sat for 40 minutes to be then told we needed to be somewhere else. When I mentioned to the girl who had sent us to the wrong room she looked at me and chuckled. Not professional at all and as a gesture of good will we would of accepted the extra 30 minutes in the hot tub but was told no a second time. Poorly run, no communication between staff at all, overpriced drinks ( the Pina colada was disgusting ) no lockable lockers in the male changing rooms, £5.00 robe hire that was stained with either makeup or fake tan. Foot spa needs a good clean. Ice fountain empty for 4 hours. Used plastic cups dotted about all over the place. Disappointed to say the least
