Up at The O2 is an exhilarating experience which will take you on an uplifting guided expedition over the roof of The O2 via a fabric walkway.
At its steepest point, the walkway has an incline of 28° on the way up and 30° on the way back down and has a slight bounce to it to replicate the surface of the tent. There's a hand rail on the walkway and a balustrade on the observation platform.
Before you climb, you'll meet your Climb Guide who'll take you through everything you need to know and give you a climb suit, shoes (if necessary) and a safety harness. You'll then make your way onto the walkway, via a short set of stairs, or lift, to the base of the tent ready to start your climb.
There is an observation platform at the summit where you can take in spectacular 360° views of London and its many landmarks. Once on the platform you will be able to move freely to enjoy the views before your descent. At all other times, you'll be attached to the climb system on the walkway to keep you safe and your Climb Guide will be nearby to help you and answer any questions.

This break is for two people to enjoy.
This experience is ideal for musicians who would enjoy the chance to record a song in a well-appointed studio with studio professionals on hand to offer the benefit of their expertise. The equipment has all been chosen for its quality and the recordings take place in a purpose-designed studio with a dedicated producer in the control room to oversee the whole process.
Before the recording session, the producers will send the participant details of the 8,500 backing tracks available for them to choose from and ask them to confirm ten to record on the day. They will be invited to the arrive at the studio at around 10am for a warm welcome from the studio staff who will explain what format the day will take, discuss song choices and offer some pointers on how to use the equipment to best effect.
The session will last until around 3pm and the team will guide the musician through as many of their chosen tracks as possible, ensuring that they are happy with their performance. Then it will be time for the experts to get to work editing and mixing the CD to create the finished masterpiece to be taken home. Additional copies can be purchased on the day.
Photos will be taken throughout the session which can then be used for the cover of the CD. The studio team are happy to accommodate special requests, so if the participant wants to play their own instrument on the day then they can discuss this in advance and make suitable arrangement to include them.
At the end of the session the participant will be presented with a certificate in a black card mount as a momemto of their once in a lifetime experience.
Please note, participants can take their own backing tracks (lyrics need to be provided too) if there’s a song on the backing track list provided by Soundmagic Studios they can’t find, alternatively you request the venue to supply the songs at £5 each. Extra singers can be brought along on the day for an additional fee.

What did you get up to?
I thoroughly enjoyed my Platinum Recording Studio Experience at Soundmagic Studios. Steve, the owner of the recording studio was incredibly professional and friendly throughout my experience. Singing is my passion so this was the perfect experience for me, as I got to record 6 of my favourite songs, which we edited and added effects to. It was very insightful to hear about different techniques used in recording music. I got to walk away with my own personalised CD, for which I could choose the title and images for, along with my own certificate which made this experience extra special. It really feels like I have my own mini album which I’ve always dreamed about! I also paid extra for a black personalised presentation plaque which was definitely worth it and a really special way to commemorate this wonderful experience. I’d definitely recommend to anyone if they want a taste of the recording studio life, whatever genre of music they like to sing.
