This is a fascinating introduction to an ancient and intriguing pursuit. See for yourself an extraordinary relationship between man and bird of prey. Falconry was originally introduced as a means of obtaining "food for the table". In Medieval Britain birds of prey were often present at grand occasions such as pageants, weddings and jousting tournaments. Even today seeing these magnificent birds up close is a very special experience and one which you won't forget.
You'll handle the birds yourself under the watchful eye of the professionals (depending on location), before they take over to perform an impressive aerial show. You will have lots of time to take some fantastic pictures of you and your new feathered friend!

Dorset Nectar Cider was born when a couple originally invested in a barn as space for sculpture work in 2006, which just so happened to play host to 3000 prime cider apple trees. Also included was a contract with Gaymers sparking the beginning of Dorset Nectar’s cider production. Soon the contract with Gaymers was cancelled as more and more cider was produced to supply the growing demand for their craft cider. They proceeded to produce cider commercially which has proved incredibly successful.
Now producing 14 different ciders, today Dorset Nectar pride themselves on their passion for crafting high-quality ciders using their own orchards and local growers, which they’ve received several prestigious national and local awards for. They’re also a constant driver of innovation and the creation of new flavour blends for visitors to enjoy.
The tour will take you and three guests from the tasting room to the orchards. You will start with a stroll through the orchards fields, discussing the orcharding techniques and practices on the organic farm. Once you are fully clued up on the farming process, you will visit the various cider barns and witness apple harvesting, pressing and the washing facilities. To finish off, you will have the chance to taste up to 12 award-winning ciders, with one of the resident cider masters on hand to answer any questions you may have.
