Overview
Whilst some people find cooking enjoyable and therapeutic, there are also those who lack the confidence to throw themselves into preparing a meal without plenty of preparation. This half day cookery lesson is not only a great chance to learn more about the essential skills needed to prepare great food, but also to learn everything you could hope to know so that you feel at ease when it comes to tackling a new recipe. A lesson with a professional chef is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions that you might have about the secrets of preparing fool-proof dishes, how to ensure that you aren’t too heavy handed with your seasoning and hints and tips on making fantastic food to impress your family and friends.
After a warm welcome on arrival you will meet your expert cookery teacher who will talk you through the day's programme and what you will be cooking during your lesson. Then it will be your turn to get your apron on and get cooking. At the end you will either be able to sit down and sample what you have made over a relaxed meal with the other attendees or take it away to enjoy later.
Themes will vary throughout the year, to give you a flavour of what's available, classes may include bread making, baking cakes, Mediterranean, vegetarian dishes or curries and side dishes. Please check themes and dates on booking. These sessions will take place at least twice per month depending on demand and availability.
