Gourmet Burger and Beer for Two at Revolution Bars

We visited Revolution Oxford road Manchester to use a birthday voucher.We had read reviews and were looking forward to seeing how good it was.We arrived just before our booking,3.350p.m.There was only one other table occupied and they had finished eating.On our voucher there were several burgers not on the menu.There were three meat and three chicken options.We ordered a burger each and waited over thirty minutes for them to arrive despite being the only two orders at the time When our food arrived the chips were like warm at best.The chicken was very dry and obviously over cooked.The bottom was wet because of the copious amount of half frozen veg.The top was burnt.To say it was disappointing is an understatement.We had such high hopes after reading reviews.Not sure if we would pay a return visit.

I was given the voucher for my 40th birthday, I think revolution let's your company down. re heated odd burger, bland cold chips. off orange juice in the cocktail and not aloud beer with the mean it was cocktails only, sticky floor stained seats. night before glasses still in toilets. we wont be returning

It turned out we weren't entitled to the most expensive burger with our voucher. The ones we could have were OK.

We had decided to book this experience because we had previously used it last year and it was amazing. However there was nothing gourmet about our food this time. We have had better burgers at macdonalds. My burger was swimming in mayo soggy lettuce meat itself was cooked well on a soggy bap. Fries were bitty after being topped up with fresh ones making older fries full of grease. We ordered sides of onion rings again full of grease and garlic bread that was hard. We were told some burgers not included in the experience and our bill did not equate to the value of the voucher. We contacted yourselves the day after as I feel this establishment should not be included in the offer as there is nothing gourmet about the food or service. Your company response was we should have contacted the retailer. Not very impressed at all we always ask family to purchase these vouchers but we will be looking for an alternative company in future.

Apart from the service, the food was awful and I would not recommend! I could never imagine paying £13 for the tiniest burger! The chicken was dry and not even a burger just a chicken breast. Just a chicken breast, stale bun, lettuce and salsa. Not flavour. Overall would not recommend.

This venue was recommended to us so thought we would give it a try with my gift I was given and booked a table. When we arrived we were seated by a girl and told someone would be over to take our food and drink order!!!! 20 mins later I had to go to the bar and ask if anyone would be over as the girl that seated us had left and gone home. We ordered at the bar eventually, and got our first drink by this time we had been there 35 mins. It took a further 45 mins for our food to arrive. The food was ok but not very hot bordering cold but we just ate and left, as they clearly didn't have enough staff to run with only 2/3 serving behind the bar, and tables with loads of glasses and plates still not cleared. Considering it was a Saturday evening they were clearly understaffed and really should of just shut the kitchen as they could not keep up with clearing tables and serving drinks never mind food orders and serving as well. Very disappointed ☹️

The place, location and staff were really nice. Unfortunately, the burger and beer option was really poor. Nothing gourmet about it. We gad a voucher and ut turns out we only coukd gave the basic burger which was really tasteless... I am sure if we had a different one on the menu it would have been much better....

Arrived for a pre planned booking. Shown to table and sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Flagged staff down & waitress eventually took our order. We then sat another 30 mins with no drink or food. Started to get very frustrated so found manager who arrange for our drinks & food. Not great having to sit for a hour with no drink! If we had a drink on arrival we would have stayed and bought another couple but honestly couldn’t wait to leave. Food was ok but gluten free bread not great, had much better, spoilt the burger!!
