Afternoon Tea with Bubbly for Two at the Hilton London West End

Historic charm meets modern elegance at the Hilton Hotel West End where you will be conveniently located next to a multitude of iconic London landmarks and areas such as Soho, Covent Garden, Regent Street and Hyde Park. You will enjoy your afternoon in the stylish Restaurant 92, which boasts soft furnishings and a calm and tranquil atmosphere, the perfect location to enjoy an afternoon tea.

On arrival you will be greeted by friendly staff who will seat you in the contemporary Restaurant 92. Your afternoon tea will include a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches such as smoked salmon with cream cheese, roasted sweet pepper with houmous, cucumber and soft cheese and honey glazed ham and mustard. You will also enjoy delicious lightly warmed sultana and plain scones served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve and sweet treats and cakes. All to be washed down with a choice of traditional tea and herbal tea infusions accompanied by a glass of Prosecco each.

Once you’ve devoured your afternoon tea you will be perfectly placed to explore London.

  My mother is one person who loves her afternoon teas and has been to plenty of one's and did say this one out of all of them left her disappointed, for someone who paid just like the rest of them, I felt not cared for, spent half an hour waiting as we came early which I don't mind but then waited another half an hour for the food to then that point I told her i was allergic to nuts, they then arrived and with no cakes just fruit, I understand I stated my allergies but for my mother she should of still been offered that, the cakes came and they had only given us one of each with then my mother goes we normally have one of each not one of everything and then having to half it with one another, the amount I spent and for it to be my first time, it didn't blow me away, they didn't even come back to check on us or even give us knew teas as the hot water had gotten cold quickly I only got to have two lots of tea so overall not impressed and also the last bit was that they didn't even acknowledge us and we then waited so long we decided to leave it really was not something I'd go back to, my father works in the hotel industry and was shocked at what we told him. I know my worth and this gift for my mother and because of how good the deal was doesn't mean I should get treated any different to anyone else, left in the corner to be cared for myself is not what I expected in a hotel like that

Double Tree by Hilton, is one of our most popular afternoon tea venues, and we are saddened when we hear a customer has not enjoyed their time there. We can fully appreciate customers have their own special requirements due to allergies and dietary preferences and we always aim to ensure these are catered too; again I can only apologise this was not done.   We were given this as a gift as my partner's mother thought it would be a real treat. When we arrived we were greeted by a waiter who said theyd already served the last afternoon tea booking of the day - we showed our printed off voucher and confirmation email and eventually were seated. There were dirty glasses and plates piled up on the bar area suggesting they were probably short staffed that day... We were served the afternoon tea and that was also unsatisfactory - we could see that ours was different from others around us and they'd clearly run out of certain items and doubled up some things and just didn't give us others. There was also a huge smudge of chocolate mousse down the side of one of the scones. Overall it was fine, nothing special and there are so many nice options in London that I wouldn't recommend this - I'm not sure how much my mother in law paid for it but I can't believe it was good value and it wasn't a great experience.

  Good location for theatre and afternoon tea was excellent. We were seated on a great table with a view and had white linen napkins and cloth which is always a treat. Food was great and more than ample. Topped up tea as often as we liked and sent us off with a packup of scones for later. service was calm, relaxed and helpful.

  The service was very slow, dirty tables. The after tea was shoved in the corner of the main bar. My mum was very disappointed and so was I and it didn't kick off our day in London very well

  Hotel is not a close walk to any attractions as claimed nor to West End shopping being between Holborn and Russell Square tube stations. Tea experience was average, bog standard sliced bread sandwiches, scones and boring choice of cakes. Doubt anything was freshly made on site. Have experienced much better elsewhere for a similar price. Dining room whilst pleasant looked out onto street. Might as well have gone to local coffee shop.
