Head down to your nearest Revolution with your best buddy to enjoy an afternoon tea with a different vibe. The menu includes delicious hot food and tempting sweet treats that veer away from the traditional finger sandwiches and scones. To take this menu to another level there is a choice of a cocktail or glass of fizz to wash down the delectable food.

Finish off with a Vodka Rev’s flavour shot from their 15+ list of flavours. There are also vegetarian and vegan menus available.

Tea and coffee will be included if requested at your chosen location.

Please note the menu differs for Revolucíon de Cuba who offer a tapas style Cuban afternoon tea.

  Poor experience. The whole booking process (including voucher validation) seemed convoluted to me (having to first provide The Activity Superstore with my preferred dates and times, which they would then try to book with the venue; it would have been so much easier to allow me to book direct with the venue. The Activity Superstore said they would get back to me when the booking was confirmed. As it happened, the venue itself confirmed with me first a couple of days later; i didn’t hear back from the The Activity Superstore agent until two days after that. Slow slow slow! On arrival, venue struggled to find my booking. We were made to sit in an area that I would describe as ‘out of the way’ (even though venue only had a few customers in it at the time). Lack of communication between venue staff with no-one really understanding what we were there for. We had to explain to them more than once that we had booked an afternoon tea experience (that we’d paid to upgrade, I might add!) Fries were stone cold when they turned up so had to ask for them to be replaced. Everything else okay but nothing special. I definitely would not recommend the venue or The Activity Superstore.

  We arrived about 20 mins early as we'd travelled from outwith Edinburgh to get there. There were only two tables occupied and one girl serving behind the bar, plus a manager who spent most of the time on the phone. We were seated and chose our cocktails, which were an Expresso Martini and a Pina Colada- both lovely but at least half full of ice. The food arrived quite quickly and comprised of one cheeseburger slider (between the 2 of us), loaded fries with bacon topping (between 2 and not a big portion), Jalapeno poppers (2 each) and crispy chicken pieces with BBQ and Sriracha mayo (again 2 each and neither they nor the poppers were big in size). The sweets were 2 small Brownie squares, 2 vanilla cheesecakes and a strawberry waffle which was covered in salted caramel sauce to the point that it was brick hard and had set like concrete. Most of it was left as we couldn't eat it even if we'd wanted to. We decided to finish with another cocktail before starting our return trip home, so had a Strawberry Daiquiri and a Sex on the Beach- both again half full of crushed ice. More people had arrived by then and at least another 4 tables were occupied, all being served by the girl behind the bar with drinks and food. The manager girl did help out from time to time but seemed to be having delivery issues with suppliers and spent most of her time occupied that way. We had a 'comfort stop' before we left and found no paper in any of the ladies loos, but given that the girl behind the bar was more of less running the place, I didn't blame her but did point it out to her before we left. She was very apologetic about it but pleasant and helpful in every other way- couldn't fault her- but while we enjoyed what we had, we won't be rushing to return nor recommend it to anyone. This was a bit disappointing as it was a delayed (due to health reasons) birthday treat and in hindsight, we both wish we'd gone for the traditional afternoon tea at another venue, as neither of us were very impressed with this alternative take on it. Could do better! (So impressed with it, we didn't even bother to take any photos of the food.)

  We had a proper catch up the two of us sisters,so welcoming on arrival,great staff,atmosphere was welcoming,enjoyed the pre cocktails,the hot afternoon tea was excellent,then to top it of the deserts were delicious,what more can I say throughly enjoyed every part,yes id do it again.

  This venue was massively understaffed given we attended on New Year’s Eve. Food took over an hour to come even though it was pre ordered. The chef on two occasions came stomping up and down the bar shouting at the bar staff during our visit complaining about food tickets which was extremely unprofessional. When our platter arrived I instantly knew there was not enough of the savoury items and asked if we could order some extras to top up like chips. I was told I couldn’t order anymore food and we would have to make do. This meant, as anticipated, we left hungry and unsatisfied. Drinks on average took around 20-30min from ordering to be delivered to the table and the wait at the bar was even longer with only one member of staff covering the whole bar. Although our waitress was very friendly and approachable the wait was ridiculous, the service was poor and ratio of sweet to savoury items was not substantial. As a former Revolution employee I was disappointed with my visit.
