An opportunity to cruise West Lancashire’s waterways whilst enjoying a sumptuous Afternoon Tea. This experience includes 90-minutes canal cruising aboard ‘Alfie Bhoy’ Lancashire Canal Cruises’ 30-foot, 12-seater, narrowboat.
Cruise along the Buthow Canal taking in the views of wildlife, picturesque towns and villages as well as natural scenery. Board your cruise with a welcome drink in hand followed by bottomless tea and coffee served with your Afternoon Tea for Two.
You and your guests will board ‘Alfie Bhoy’ and enjoy a 90-minute canal cruise, floating along the West Lancashire waterways enjoy the wildlife, picturesque local towns and scenery. At point of boarding, you will be served a welcome drink, this is a selection made from alcoholic and soft drinks.
Whilst aboard you and your guests will be served a smorgasbord of finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and an assortment of cakes. A traditional Afternoon Tea whilst cruising the waterways, an idyllic way to spend the day. Tea and Coffee are served throughout the duration of your cruise with unlimited top ups. You will board and depart the cruise at the same location.
This experience is available Monday to Friday subject to availability, excludes Weekends, Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
This experience will last approximately 90 minutes
This is for four people, the experience will only run with a minimum of 8 people, you may be contacted to move date.
The minimum age for this experience is 12 years and older.

We had a wonderful sunny afternoon cruising along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The food was excellent & just the right amount. Skipper Mark was very informative with his commentary & extended the cruise by taking in a swing bridge & lock. Would definitely recommend.

The cruise was very enjoyable with a very good guide but was let down by the quality of the afternoon tea, basic sandwiches and very ordinary cakes and only one cup of teat per person allowed for.

Had a lovely day, even the sun was shining. A very knowledgeable host on the cruise. Only one small complaint the afternoon tea was small and not like hotel/restaurant afternoon teas as it was a bit lacking in content. Presume most of the payment is for the trip on the barge which was very enjoyable.

We had a lovely trip last Monday 31 / 10 /22 .The boat was small and cosy carrying 12 passengers. Our Skipper pointed out all the interesting buildings and other craft during the trip. He had a good knowledge of the canals history. Our afternoon tea was very nice and the Rose' went down very well .Our " shipmates" were very friendly . It was an experience which we both enjoyed Thank You.

This was bought for me as a birthday treat, and I enjoyed it. The event was not the one my partner first bought, and it was latter changed to another provider. The Photo of the boat showed table cloths, knife and forks, and fancy wine glasses which looked great, the reality was plastic plates ,glasses and table tops .The food and wine was pleasant, but nothing special.This left my partner a little bit annoyed and cheated. How ever as a person who wasn't paying I enjoyed it . Don't expect Cunard and you will be fine

The gentleman in charge of the cruise was very knowledgeable about the history of the canal and surrounding area. The food was okay, we didn't park on the nearby car park as it was very expensive (unless there was a special deal with cruise customers that we didn't know about) overall it was a pleasant day
