From the old market town of Skipton, board the Dalesman canal boat for a relaxing cruise along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Indulge in a delicious afternoon tea for two, accompanied by a refreshing bottle of prosecco to share.
On this luxury vessel you’ll be able to relax and unwind as soon as you climb on board, as a member of the friendly staff will greet you with a drink each. As you drift along Britain’s longest canal for 2 hours, sit back and enjoy the picturesque views and stunning scenery the gorgeous green Yorkshire Dales has to offer along the way. These peaceful surroundings will make it easy to immerse yourselves in a spot of peace and quiet.
Enjoy an afternoon tea with a friend or loved one consisting of savoury and sweet delights, including a selection of sandwiches, delicious desserts and an appetising fruit scone with strawberry jam and cream. This splendid spread will be accompanied by unlimited tea and coffee, as well as a bottle of prosecco to share.
There is a fully licensed bar on board serving soft and alcoholic drinks, including excellent draught beers so your needs are sure to be catered for when travelling on the Dalesman!
After your relaxing cruise, why not take a trip to the historic town of Skipton on foot where you can see a 900-year old medieval Skipton Castle or visit the famous open-air market if you’re interested in exploring the local area.

This experience was, without a doubt, a 5 star experience! As soon as we entered the barge, we were greeted by pleasant and friendly staff. Everybody was assigned their own table, which was brilliant because it meant that nobody was rushing to choose a certain table - although they all had spectacular views anyway. As soon as we set off, a member off staff came around for any drinks orders. Not long after that, they delivered our bottle of prosecco on ice - a lovely touch. The glasses were already ready on the table for us, which meant that we just had to pour and enjoy. We didn't have to wait too long before the afternoon tea was delivered, and it was simply divine. A nice assortment of sweet and savoury treats, all as delectable as each other. The amount of food was perfect - not too much, or too little. As we were eating, the members of staff made regular trips up and down the barge to ensure that our teacups never ran dry. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather, which meant that we could enjoy the beautiful sights in the sunshine as we tucked into the delicious food and drink. Towards the end of our journey, we came across a bridge where the electric was faulty, meaning the bridge couldn't open. A member of staff kept us informed with what was happening and was incredibly apologetic. Of course nobody was at all bothered about the slight delay - it meant that we got to spend even longer on the boat! Due to the delay, everybody on the boat was granted a free drink. This was a lovely, thoughtful touch and totally unexpected. Throughout the journey, there was music on at an appropriate volume. The playlist was perfect and enhanced the experience even more. At the end of the journey, a member of staff came and offered a small chocolate for everybody. Again, this was totally unexpected but a lovely touch. Myself and my husband had one of our best days out ever with this experience. The food, drinks, staff, atmosphere, views and entire journey were all perfect - we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. This is a must try for anybody, of any age!

Service was wonderful, they catered for food allergies, the trip was peaceful, We had good weather and the trip out and back had beautiful scenery. At no point did we fill pushed to finish our meal and the host checked to see if all was ok. We ended up taking a doggy bag as we had no room for all the food. The food was well presented and every thing was clean and tidy better than some restaurants we have been too. Over all a fantastic experience and one we have recommended to our friends and family.

A good view of the canal but seating a little uncomfortable. No pressco offered which we thought was part of the package. It didn't matter tho Sandwiches a little bland . Staff pleasant and helpful.
