Enjoy traditional East End fish & chip supper at the famous Happy Days Fish and Chip restaurant which is where Jack the Ripper abandoned a blood soaked apron from one of his victims. The restaurant has lots of Jack the Ripper memorabilia with pictures of the suspects, photos of the crime scenes and news articles for the time to get you in the mood for the tour that will follow.
The Jack the ripper tour will take you on the trail of one of the most infamous serial killers in the world. Starting at Aldgate station, your expert guide will walk you down the cobblestone alleyways and through 18th century streets The Ripper and his victims once walked down over 130 years ago. Along the way your guide will talk you through the victims’ stories, visit pubs visited by the victims (and maybe the ripper himself) and see original crime scene and mortuary photographs from the time of the murders. This tour certainly isn’t for the faint hearted, as you delve into gory details and discover how ‘The Ripper’ got his name. Will you be able to finally solve the identity of The Ripper?
Adult themes are included in the tour, including graphic descriptions of murders and images of crime scenes, deceased victims and mortuary photographs. We advise parents/guardians to give advice about this to any under 16s that they are accompanying on the tour.
This experience is available on selected Wednesday and Friday dates, fish and chips at 5:45pm, tour at 7pm or fish and chips at 6:15pm, tour at 7:30pm.
The tour will last approximately 3-3½ hours.
This tour is for two people, there will be other people there on the day.
The minimum age is 13 years old, under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian.
