Overview

Kicking off with a quick (and tasty) history lesson, Master Chocolatiers will guide you through the magical legends of chocolate, with the chance to sample plenty of exotic tasters along the way. With a bean-to-bar discovery and chocolate connoisseur tasting session, you’ll then be sampling raw cocoa nibs, 100% pure chocolate and special secret ingredients, for developing a discerning palate.

Diving in to the chocolate making, you’ll be creating your very own personalised chocolate bark using professional dipping forks to create marbled effects.

After demonstrations from the Master Chocolatiers, the chocolate making and chocolate decorating continues with fresh-cream truffles. Guided by an expert chocolatier, you’ll dip, decorate and design your own delicious truffles with creative toppings like honeycomb and sea salt.

You will leave with your very own personalised chocolate bark.

My Chocolate, Piccadilly, Manchester

Dan from our Customer Testing Panel, August 2024

What did your experience entail?
Booking the experience was simple and I received an email promptly with all the details and had a reminder the day before. It was for a 2-hour session in chocolate making. It was a lovely experience, with the chef being engaging and warm from the moment I arrived and explained everything with energy and clarity that made the experience fun and inclusive.
I got to share my experience with others, and we all enjoyed being creative with the chocolate and being able to take it home was a bonus, as we were provided with bags or boxes to keep them safe until I got them home, or even before hand (as they did taste great), overall excellent value for money. Only room for improvement would be the setting, was ok being in a sort of conference area but in a more kitchen type environment would have felt nicer overall.
I got the train to the experience, and it was extremely easy to find with the details in the email booking I received confirming all required details. It was less than a couple minutes’ walk out of Manchester Piccadilly station and if you wanted to stay over there was plenty of hotels within a short walk from where the experience took place, including the experience being in a lovely hotel.

What did you enjoy the most?
It was great fun to be able to be hands on and get messy with tasty chocolate, and then take home what I had created.

Top Tip

1. Travel light and not in white, as it can get messy, and you get a fair amount of chocolate you can bring home.
