No I do not recommend this product.
Venue did not fit an afternoon tea, not a traditional tea and there was no one else in there so no atmosphere. I know it was a Sunday maybe venue not right for a tea I felt awarded being there. Food was ok all I wanted was sandwiches and a scone

Hotel looks quite shabby from outside and needs a serious overhaul both inside and out. Sent through to restaurant where only 1 staff member working. Waited to be seated amongst tables that needed clearing. Waitress eventually came to us and took drinks order, but came back with tea instead of the tea and coffee ordered. Food arrived and it looked like it had been prepared some time in advance. Wouldn’t be hurrying back and wouldn’t recommend.

VERY disappointed. What we had to eat was OK but it was NOT an afternoon tea in any traditional way. I was uncomfortable in the venue being obviously for young people wanting cheap booze. The young man serving was very pleasant and reasonably efficient - really very, very disappointed.

Very hard to find this hotel on one way system. Staff were absolutely lovely but was disappointed with the cakes. Tiny little strange tasting assortment. We didn't enjoy any of them unfortunately. Scones were huge but pretty dry with a bit of an aftertaste

Took my daughter for her birthday as she likes afternoon tea and I just don’t think it was worth it. The staff were really nice and as I asked, they put a candle on one of the cakes and sang happy birthday to her which was so so nice of them to do but the afternoon tea wouldn’t have been worth the money I’m afraid. We got our drinks so quickly, by the time afternoon tea was there everything was ice cold. Wouldn’t go again. Cup was chipped too.

Station was fine and staff lovely, although nobody seemed to know where we should sit. Kept getting moved from our seats, and eventually put ourselves in a closed compartment where we were told we could stay if we tidied up after ourselves! Train was fine, but route was an uninspiring straight line out and back. Not much too look at.

The worst afternoon tea I’ve ever had.
The food was nothing like it said it would be.
It wasn’t the right sort of venue either for afternoon tea.
The savory selection was awful but the sweet selection was better.

I was given this experience as a birthday gift and went with a friend.
Oddfellows is a boutique hotel sited in The Rows.
There is a short flight of stairs from the street up into the hotel.
The decor is very quirky and unexpected. A talking point.
.The food was delicious & there was plenty of it. In addition to the usual afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes, scones, jam & cream we were given a tasty hot sausage roll & a basket of fries.
The staff we encountered were all very pleasant and a mention must be made of our young server, he was very attentive and obviously enjoyed his job.
We were expecting to spend around an hour there but must have been there at good 2 hours if not longer.
it was a very relaxing & enjoyable experience for us both.

Yes I recommend this product.
I rang to book tea & found that they were stopping dealing with Activity Superstore at the end of that week! So booked for next day with a friend - hubby had to miss out sadly.
Tea was fab, good choice of sandwiches, excellent scones & cakes. Staff lovely.
