For the price paid for afternoon you expect the drinks to be included sadly this is not the case at this venue, food was tasty although small portions. Unfortunately I would never purchase again due to the extra cost of buying drinks it ruined the experience

Not traditional afternoon tea

Be aware there are two types of afternoon tea activities at Revolution Bars - one traditional and one with a cocktail. I turned up expecting a cocktail (which I had experienced before) but my voucher was for the tea/coffee version, which I hadn’t realised. Limited opening hours in the week means it is difficult to enjoy at a suitable time - especially when drinking just tea! The food was good, with hot nibbles and mini puddings for dessert. But the booking process and limited opening times ruined the experience. Not the place for a traditional cream tea, you need to be drinking cocktails here.

We were very disappointed as we didn't get to go on the steam train because it was cancelled the morning we got there, I checked the night before and before we left as we travelled an hour and half to get there, to make sure the steam train was running, when we arrived we were told only the diesel train was running and that it stated on the website that they had cancelled the steam train, when I checked it still said the steam train was running, so we were really disappointed as this was a present from our children.

No local places to have tea, took over an hour to get there.No atmosphere , 1st time I’ve afternoon tea served on dinner plates and mugs( not china ) to drink out of. Cakes very poor as if they had been frozen . Told my relation not to bother with a gift like this again.
