Meerkats are amazing exciting mammals who enjoy interacting with people. Our meerkats are very friendly and enjoy being fed. Why not come and meet Timone, Ben and Jerry and see how they interact with you and each other. Give them some of their favourite food.
The Meerkat is a small mongoose native to southern Africa. These fascinating creatures are highly social and form packs of two to thirty individuals. There is a social hierarchy; generally dominant individuals in a pack breed and produce offspring, and the nonbreeding, subordinate members provide selfless care to the pups.
These small creatures boast a big character, and this character along with their broad head, large eyes, pointed snout and ability to stand on their hind legs to keep watch over their family has made them a popular choice for TV and as cartoon caricatures in films such as The Lion King (Timon).
This experience provides you and your guest an amazing opportunity to spend ninety minutes, hands on and up close with the Meerkats.
Your experience is tailored around their feeding times as this enriches their day with interaction and simulation. The two of you will be able to enter their enclosure, to handle and feed them.
