Take on the wind whilst in control of a land yacht, otherwise known as a kite buggy or sand yacht. This three wheeled machine uses the wind as its power force and gains great speeds. The basics are quick and easy to learn, ensuring that you both get the maximum amount of enjoyment from your session.
Your experience will start with a welcome and safety briefing with your instructor. Following this you will both learn the basic techniques necessary to manage this extraordinary vehicle before getting to grips with manoeuvring the land yacht yourself. To finish your activity you will put your newly acquired skills to the test through a set of challenges.
You will both be sharing a single yacht so you get the chance to take control of the yacht and then sit back and spectate whilst your partner takes control.
With a highly qualified and motivated instructor on hand, get ready to be hooked on the exciting sport of land yachting!
This experience is available on selected weekday dates, throughout the year, weekends and bank holidays can be booked for a £10 fee per person.
This experience will last approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on your location.
This experience is for two people.
You are able to bring spectators on the day.
The minimum age is dependant on your location.
The maximum weight for this experience is 101.6kg (16st) or 115kg (18st) depending on your chosen location. Please check on booking.

Super fun experience, had two hours driving the Land Yachts which was plenty of time. The two fellas running the experience were very nice and helpful.

This was a 60th birthday gift from my wife. Turned up 1/2 hour late due to traffic but this did not faze the boss, Andy. Other people did not turn up so me and my wife were offered a yacht each instead of going tandem. This is the way to go as I could charge around the course having fun (I have sailed in dinghies) whilst my wife had 1 to 1 tuition. We both had fun and although it was a 5 1/2 hour round trip, it was well worth it. Venue was very good with Lydd airdrome toilets and restaurant adjacent to site. I would recommend this activity to anyone, any age.
