An opportunity to cruise West Lancashire’s waterways whilst enjoying a sumptuous Afternoon Tea. This experience includes 90-minutes canal cruising aboard ‘Alfie Bhoy’ Lancashire Canal Cruises’ 30-foot, 12-seater, narrowboat.
Cruise along the Buthow Canal taking in the views of wildlife, picturesque towns and villages as well as natural scenery. Board your cruise with a welcome drink in hand followed by bottomless tea and coffee served with your Afternoon Tea for Two.
You and your guest will board ‘Alfie Bhoy’ and enjoy a 90-minute canal cruise, floating along the West Lancashire waterways enjoy the wildlife, picturesque local towns and scenery. At point of boarding, you will be served a welcome drink, this is a selection made from alcoholic and soft drinks.
Whilst aboard you and your guest will be served a smorgasbord of finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and an assortment of cakes. Traditional Afternoon Tea for two whilst cruising the waterways, an idyllic way to spend the day. Tea and Coffee are served throughout the duration of your cruise with unlimited top ups. You will board and depart the cruise at the same location.
This experience is available Monday to Friday subject to availability, excludes Weekends, Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
This experience will last approximately 90 minutes
This is for two people, the experience will only run with a minimum of 8 people, you may be contacted to move date.
The minimum age for this experience is 12 years and older.

This was one of our wedding presents and we just managed to get to go on a reasonable day. We had a slight issue with the food the message that my wife is allergic to vinegar not having got through but it was sorted out fairly quickly. The ride was pleasant through varying scenery and a little congenial conversation with the other four on the trip. Interesting comments by the guy in charge at times , overall a nice way to spend an evening.

My daughter and I LOVED this! Food was good and the location was beautiful. The host was brilliant - funny and very knowledgeable. Made us feel very comfortable. Pointed out lots of things that we would have missed. Clearly knows his stuff! We will be back!

This was a gift of a canal cruise afternoon tea. Since purchase, the site where we should have joined the cruise had stopped doing the experience. This meant we had to drive over an hour to be able to use our voucher! That said, we had a lovely cruise and afternoon tea but the seating at the four table was too cramped.

We joined 10 other people for our canal afternoon tea. The guide was very informative, gave lots of info on the canal itself, some of the buildings we passed and bridges. The afternoon tea itself was ready prepared, good sandwiched, sausage roll , quiche, cakes and a scone with jam and cream, as much tea and coffee as you could drink, also wine. Lovely sunny afternoon cruise, just wished it was a bit longer.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon on the canal. The tea was very nice, as were the drinks. The chap on the boat (sorry forgotten his name), was lovely. He was very knowledgeable about the local history along the canal, and also about the wildlife. In fact we stopped the boat so that he could rescue some ducklings who had become separated from their mother.
