These charming little aircraft offer a breathtaking panoramic view from the cockpit, making them perfect for short trips over picturesque countryside. On a beautiful summer's day, there's no better way to take flight! Our expert instructors will provide you with a comprehensive briefing, ensuring you are fully prepared for your trial flying lesson. We are confident that you will become just as passionate about microlighting as our instructors are!

During your briefing, your GS Aviation instructor will cover everything in detail, including the proper use of dual controls, aircraft entry procedures, and pre-takeoff checks. Once you're ready, you'll soar into the sky, ascending to heights of up to 1500 feet above ground level. The instructor will demonstrate the controls, and if they are satisfied with your progress, they will entrust you with the controls of the aircraft.

What else do I need to know?

The minimum age is 14 years old, children under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

The maximum weight is 95kg (14st 9lb). The flight is not suitable for those who suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts. For their own safety diabetics may be required to produce a medical certificate.

What did you get up to?
I have never been scared or nervous when flying in a passenger plane but this was definitely a shock to the system! I arrived at the airfield for midday and the weather was sunny but quite windy, the pilot was there waiting for me and we quickly went to the aircraft to perform the pre-flight checks. The pilot was very informative and this experience was very hands on as I performed most of the checks, these included starting the engine and contacting the radio control tower to get clearance for take-off. Once we were ready the pilot took off, from this point he let me take control of the microlight until landing, he was very calm and explained what each of the controls did, and he even pointed out the local landmarks we were passing. Overall a very nerve-racking experience but something I would definitely do again!

Building up the courage to take controls and the feeling of achievement when I finally did!
