The Dominion Theatre, London

Michael from Customer Service, July 2024

What did your experience entail?
We were limited on what dates we could both arrange of work, so we let the experience provider know what dates were convenient for us and said we were open to whatever shows they had available on those dates. They promptly responded with a range of available shows, despite us only giving a couple of weeks' notice. We chose to see Sister Act at the Dominion Theatre. We received our hotel room confirmation the following day and were pleased to learn that we had been booked in at the Thistle Hotel in Bloomsbury Park, which was only a 10-minute walk to the theatre.
We were informed that check-in was 4pm, however we arrived in London early and thought we would check if the hotel could store our bags for us. We found the hotel with ease, and were greeted by Diana at reception. Diana checked her system and informed us they had a room available for early check-in at no extra cost. She then showed us around the hotel facilities including where we would have breakfast and then showed us to our room.

The room was clean and tidy and had all the facilities we required for a short stay in the City. There was complimentary bottled water and shortbread as well as tea and coffee. The ensuite was also well-maintained and clean. The hotel is conveniently situated in the bustling West End, a couple of streets away from the British Museum, despite this we found the room to be very quiet.
We spent the afternoon exploring London, then headed back to The Thistle to freshen up before walking to the theatre. We treated ourselves to a drink at the Art Deco Champagne Bar upon arrival at The Dominican Theatre. Sister Act was incredible, with Beverley Knight as the lead, Ruth Jones as Mother Superior and much to my amazement Lesley Joseph as Sister Mary Lazarus! The show finished around 10, so we headed back to the hotel for a nightcap at the bar and then off to bed.
We were pleased to learn that the voucher included a free breakfast, which we took full advantage of the following morning. There was a range of juices, pastries, fruit and cereals and a full classic self-service hot English Breakfast. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel for the second day so we spent some time mooching around London before heading home.

Top Tip

1. Bring snacks and drink to the theatre, the prices at the bar can be a tad insane!
2. Consider pairing this voucher up with another gift experience to do in the afternoon, we chose to also book the Inamo Sushi Afternoon Tea as this was just in Covent Garden.

Hi am I able to drive one of these vehicles with my ten year old daughter in the passenger seat or do I need to have an instructor in with me? Also if she is allowed in with just me would I then have to buy another experience voucher for her to ride along?
Thanks in advance See more »

Regrettably, our Triple Supercar Drive requires a professional racing instructor in the vehicle at all times, so we cannot accommodate additional passengers. However, your daughter can spectate from the track's side and if she wishes to join in on the day she could be booked for a separate Junior Driving Experience.
