If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to soar through the skies in a helicopter, then this is your chance to see an area of the country from above. There’s a reason that helicopters are the rock stars of the skies - their versatility means that they can land almost anywhere and because they can hover, they offer unparalleled views of the surrounding area which is impossible from other aircraft.
The chance to see an area from above is one which can give you a whole new perspective, whether it’s somewhere you are already familiar with or a spot that you are discovering for the first time. From beautiful landscapes to impressive towns and cities, an aerial view is one which can uncover hidden secrets, surprising features or just a completely new way to look at a place which may seem unremarkable from the ground.
You will be welcomed and briefed by a specialist team. Once you are safely strapped in the helicopter you will experience climbing to over 1,000 feet, accelerating to over 120 miles an hour, swooping over the landscape, then settling gently back on the ground. Cameras are positively encouraged, with an experience this exhilarating you will want to relive it as often as possible!
This experience is available on selected dates, March to October.
The flight lasts for approximately 5 minutes. You will be at the venue for approximately 40 minutes.
This experience is for Two people, you will share your flight with up to five other people.
You are welcome to bring friends and family with you.
The minimum age for this experience is 12 years old.
The max weight is 15st (95kg) per person, or combined weight of 30st (190kg). Please be advised the experience may not be suitable for those who are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, or who have heart or medical conditions. If in doubt consult your doctor.
No previous experience is required.

What did you get up to?
I arrived at Fairoaks Airport to take part in the Helicopter buzz, this was easy to find using the information provided upon booking. I was greeted by one of the experience providers and checked in, this was also very easy to do!
Once it was time for my flight, a safety briefing was given which put everyone at ease. Before entering the helicopter, a professional photographer was on hand to take photos if we were wanting to purchase these after. I was then escorted into the helicopter, and within minutes was airborne! The views were spectacular and the charming pilot would point out landmarks so you could get the best possible photos!
After the breath-taking flight, I was given the option to purchase the previously mentioned photos, we were also advised that all proceeds for this also went to charity.

Long wait to have the flight. Flight times 11:30 took off 1:30 for 5 mins in air. Saw one place of interest and fields.

I'm very sorry to hear that there was a long wait before you got to take the experience, I can imagine this did leave you feeling slightly disappointed. In regards to the time spent up the in the air, we do state in the activity information, 'The flight lasts for approximately 5 minutes.' I had a buzz experience bought for me by my children. My wife was wanting to join me so I paid for her to be able to accompany me. On the day I upgraded our flight at a cost of an additional £30 each for a longer thrill seeker flight. We did not seem to be in the air that long as I recorded the flight on my phone which only equated to just over 6 minutes, I am wondering what I would have received on my initial Buzz flight. I feel my wife and I did not get any extra for the additional money we paid for our upgrade.

I had doubts about this - that is until I arrived. The ground staff were supportive, kind and lovely and very instructing on how to proceed. Then I got aboard the chopper and WOW!!
