Steam Train and Cream Tea at Nene Valley Railway
The NVR is a standard gauge railway, which runs for seven and a half miles between Yarwell Junction and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. After the railway was granted as fit for passenger carrying operations in 1977, it has become a big and popular attraction for Peterborough.
This is a fantastic chance for two people to enjoy a relaxed, unhurried and civilised journey on a steam train with a lovely cream tea to finish your day. The steam train has been around for over 200 years moving passengers from place to place. Seeing the trains in all their glory brings a real sense of history to your day and there is always plenty to see, making this a great day out.
Your cream tea will consist of a delicious homemade scone each with cream and jam accompanied by your tea.
You will take your cream tea in the onsite Café conservatory at Nene Valley Wansford. All Nene Valley carriages are dog friendly as well as the Café conservatory so why not bring your pooch to accompany you on the day!
If the Steam train is unavailable for reasons beyond the control of the venue, for example hot weather, it will be replaced by a Diesel train. Please note, once booked this experience cannot be cancelled or changed.
This experience is available on selected weekdays and weekends, April to September.
The Cream Tea takes place at 3pm, but you can ride the train all day!
This experience is for two people. There will be other people there on the day.
You are more than welcome to bring friends and family, however, they will have to pay on the day.
