Overview

The Duke of Marlborough Hotel and Restaurant were named after the first Duke of Marlborough and resident of the estate, John Churchill. Both the Duke of Marlborough estate and Blenheim Palace were created for John Churchill as rewards for his services to both crown and country. Now the estate has been converted into a beautiful hotel and restaurant.

This is a cosy and traditional place to enjoy a relaxing break away, heartwarming dinner or a tasty afternoon tea. With its warming log fire and exposed Cotswold Stone walls and in its stunning rural setting, there aren't many better places to go and relax.

Yes I recommend this product.

We visited in late October for an overnight break, the timing couldn't be avoided. This turned out to be to our disadvantage, as it became very cold and several nearby places to visit had restricted the opening hours, etc. Nevertheless the Duke of Marlborough was a very pleasant and quiet venue to stay in, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We found it very easy to visit Oxford and we intend to visit again to explore the local attractions and places like Blenheim Palace in detail.

When did your experience take place? October 2018
