Paintballing for Four

You're never too old to play 'soldiers'! Dodge exploding pellets and gun down the enemy in simulated skirmishes. Not only is paintballing great fun, it will test your skills of endurance, quick-thinking, leadership and teamwork. You'll be running around purpose built imaginative 'battle-fields' which may include trekking through the jungle to locate an ancient stone pyramid in the 'Tomb Raider' game, or embarking on a mission to protect the President on his tour of the UK - you and your team will need to escort the President back to his vehicle when you suddenly come under attack in the 'London Apocalypse' game. Whichever battle you're thrown into, you can be sure of an amazing game of paint-filled fun!

Your experience will begin by getting fully kitted out with full head and body protection and dependent on location you could even receive a combat suit. After a safety briefing and target practice, let the games begin! You and three friends will enjoy your paintballing session using the latest USA-spec rapid-fire semi-automatic machine guns with a hip-mounted 400-shot battlepack. To get you started each participant will receive 100 paintballs. To ensure your safety and enjoyment you will be given tuition and be supervised by friendly marshals throughout. Some locations also provide a snack, please check on booking. Your experience will finish with a debrief and an awards ceremony. Further paintballs will need to be purchased on the day.

Follow this with the ultimate challenge and climb a 20ft pole, walk the plank and take the leap of faith grabbing the bag suspended in mid-air.

You will be required to sign a waiver form upon arrival. Your instructor will then begin with a comprehensive safety briefing. Once kitted out with all the safety gear, it will be time to begin! You will take on the Leap of Faith, Vertical Slide and two rides on the PierZip. Instructors will be on hand throughout ensuring you are safe and offering guidance.

The Triple Whammy at The Abyss

If you’re looking for an experience that will get your adrenaline pumping, then look no further than the triple whammy. Flying along zip wires, abseiling into the ‘Abyss’ and parachute simulators, this experience has everything covered. Once you’re into your safety harness its time for the fun to begin. This isn’t for the faint hearted!

Your experience will begin by being kitted out in the safety harness. Then it's off to your first activity, the 250ft indoor zip wire. Climb the long and winding walkway into the rafters to the 250ft indoor zip wire, six stories above the ground. The jumpmaster will attach you and then as you push off take a look below and you'll see the restaurant, friends and family below you as you travel at 30mph before safely entering the landing zone. Next it's off to climb 143 steps to the abseil zone. A trained instructor will instruct you how to descend and then it's up to you to abseil into The Abyss from 150ft down into the chasm that is the face of steel and the dark and gloomy Abyss. Last but definitely not least, with your heart pounding, climb the 143 steps again for the final buzz on the 150ft drop. You will have sensory overload as you plummet to the ground before landing safely on terra firma. Photographs and merchandise can be purchased on site.

This highly fun experience will teach you all the skills you need to take on zombies and ensure your own survival. Kitted out and tooled up with rifles, crossbows and axes to help you take out your flesh eating fearsome targets, this weaponry training will allow you to stay one step ahead of fearsome zombies at all times.

Your session will begin with a short risk assessment and health and safety briefing, before you are taught the best techniques to help you survive an infected world of zombies. Your instructor will train you on each weapon and how best to hit your target.

Armed with bows, blades and bullets this weapons focused training experience is sure to turn you into a world class zombie assassin in no time at all.

A zombie virus has broken out, do you have what it takes to survive? You and your team will be tasked with avoiding the zombie as it attacks and tries to infect everyone in its path.

Your exact experience will vary by location but highlights include being on a mission to secure the last food and weapon supplies to survive whilst battling against another team of survivors to recover the goods, all the while avoiding the resident zombie. Or you will simply try to be the last person standing as the hoard of zombies grows due to your teammates being infected.

Falconry Taster Experience

This is a fascinating introduction to an ancient and intriguing pursuit. See for yourself an extraordinary relationship between man and bird of prey. Falconry was originally introduced as a means of obtaining "food for the table". In Medieval Britain birds of prey were often present at grand occasions such as pageants, weddings and jousting tournaments. Even today seeing these magnificent birds up close is a very special experience and one which you won't forget.

On arrival you will be greeted by one of the falconers and given an overview of the disciplines and history of falconry, followed by a brief introduction to the husbandry and welfare of birds and the equipment used in falconry. You will then have the opportunity to fly two birds "to the fist" so you can experience the unforgettable sensation of having a magnificent bird of prey on your arm. When an expert is behind the wheel of a car which has been designed to accelerate at incredible rates, something amazing happens - the two work together to reach impressive speeds and passengers feel as though they are witnessing something truly special. This is a chance to enjoy nine thrilling laps of white-knuckle action in a car that’s enough to take anyone’s breath away.

This experience starts with a warm welcome and a chance to speak to the experienced instructor who will be putting the car through its paces with the participant in the passenger seat. They will explain what is involved in reaching the top speeds in a car which has been designed to accelerate at incredible rates and provide some insight into the track layout and what can be expected of the experience.

The car will be either a Nissan 200 SX S14, a Nissan Skyline R33 or R34 or a Lexus IS 200. All of these cars have earned their reputations on various tracks around the world. They have impressed both drivers and spectators with their versatility in competitions from unofficial drag races on the streets of Japan to Grand Prix and Touring Car Championships.

The experience will last around 30-40 minutes, during which time the passenger will get the chance to see what their car can do with an expert at the controls. Nissan Skyline Blast

Ever wanted to recreate some of your favourite scenes from the Fast and Furious franchise? Then why not take a ride in the Nissan Skyline GTT! With over 270 BHP and an active 4 wheel drive handling, it is a hugely enjoyable driving experience!

To begin, you will be given a briefing from a professional racing instructor, before you get behind the wheel of the twin turbo charged supercar to put that pedal to the metal for three laps/miles of the track. The driver will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given an option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Please note there will be a supplement fee if you choose to visit the Dunsfold, Warden Law or Castle Combe venue.

Outdoor Karting

Description

Karting is considered to be the perfect starting point for all those wishing to get into racing and surprisingly, in a quick kart, it is one of the closest things to racing in a Formula 1 car! If you have never tried anything like this before then this experience will give you a great taste of karting. So in the immortal words of legendary racng commentator, Murray Walker, 'Go, Go, Gooooo!'

On arriving at the centre you will sign on and get suited up in a helmet and racing overalls. This will be followed by your instructor giving a safety briefing and some instructions on the kart controls. Then it's time to get going. Don't worry if you're a bit nervous - you can take the track at the speed that best suits you. Please note at some venues this operates on an arrive and drive basis where if very busy you may have to wait up to an hour from arrival.

Rally Driving Blast

This is your chance to learn new and unique driving skills under the guidance of experienced Rally Instructors, learning skid control, brake control, plus understeer and oversteer techniques.

Then it's time to get behind the wheel for up to four laps of the track, depending on location. On completing your experience you will be presented with a certificate as a memento of your day.

Rally Sprint

This experience is perfect for those who are new to rallying and want to get a taste of exactly what it has to offer. Experience the amazing power, traction and control of these awesome rally cars as you navigate your way through the challenging rally stage.

You’ll start with a general welcome, introduction and safety briefing, before taking to the track in a Subaru WRX or equivalent. Under the guidance of an experienced rally instructor, you'll learn new and unique driving skills, including skid control, brake control, under-steer and over-steer techniques. The experience will end with a debrief and a driving certificate to keep as a memento of your day.

Simulator Race Experience

Description

Prepare to experience what it’s like to be a professional racing driver in this Simulator Race Experience. At Chandler’s Ford or Halifax, you’ll compete against other drivers in an adrenaline-fuelled race to the finish line.

Starting off in a lower-powered race car, you’ll get to grips with the controls as you qualify for your place on the grid.
Then the fun really begins as you speed round the circuit, wheel to wheel with the other competitors. Once you’ve mastered the race car, you’ll begin moving up the power tiers, battling it out for the all-important podium places. Medals will be awarded to the top three drivers of what will be an exciting and memorable race event

On arrival at the centre, you will need to register before receiving a driver’s briefing, which includes an introduction to the controls on the simulator, and details on how the event will be run. You will then be unleashed onto the circuit for a 20-minute practice/qualifying session. You’ll use this time to learn how to handle the car and get to grips with the best lines in and out of the corners, before getting in that all-important fast lap to determine your position on the grid.

You'll then take part in a series of race heats against your fellow competitors. With all drivers ready, you will find yourself on the starting grid waiting for the start light procedure to commence. With the engine revs rising all around you, you will need to time your start to perfection as the lights turn green. Points will be awarded and preparations made for the next race.

Knife Skills Workshop

Description

Save time in the kitchen and learn to handle a knife like a professional chef so you can perfect your julienne, batons and chiffonade.

Well-honed knife skills reduce valuable time spent preparing food in the kitchen, and allow you to create attractive dishes which will wow your family and friends at your next dinner party.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of the chefs at the Smart School of Cookery. Then, after a brief overview of what to expect from the class, you will get changed into your chef’s apron ready for action.

You’ll learn how to chop, cut, slice and dice vegetables like a pro. You’ll learn ways of keeping your knife sharp. And you’ll learn the skill of filleting a fish and de-boning a chicken.

This experience is 100% hands on. The chef will demonstrate each task, then you will practice your hopping, filleting and boning skills with guidance from the chef.

Once the class is completed, you will receive an email within 24 hours with a knife chart with useful information relating to the knives for you to refer back to when cooking at home.
