Lies and upsell ruined the experience

The driving itself was great but the overall experience was ruined by lies and constantly being up-sold. I was told by 3 different people that the extra insurance waiver was compulsory. When I challenged them, they then admitted it wasn’t but then said I need to pay £5,000 deposit if I didn’t purchase it. That WAS NOT in the booking instructions and experience information I received via email before hand. By withholding that information, you didn’t prepare people to make a fair choice. The rest of the booking in process was just a constant assault of trying to squeeze more money out of us, either by more driving, photos, upgrades, different laps and god knows what else. Totally ruined the day and was made to feel uncomfortable if I wasn’t purchasing anything extra. The drive was fun but overall, I would never return nor use your company for any other experience day again due to the poor treatment, being lied too and being looked at as a walking ATM.

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the driving involved in this experience however I'm very sorry to hear that you feel you were let down by the booking process and feel you were lied to. We try to be as transparent as possible and state the following within the experience information. ''The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given an option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Full details are available at the time of booking.''
As always with any added extras, these are completely optional and are there for you to make your experience more memorable. I do apologise if on the day of the experience you were made to feel uncomfortable, I will be passing your comments over to the supplier to be looked into.
