Tai Chi is a Chinese form of exercise which is accessible to all ages and physical abilities, making it popular the world over. Tai Chi can be practiced on many levels, from a simple meditative exercise to a realistic martial art, depending on your wants and needs.
In your introductory lesson, you will join a group class where you will be shown the basics of this fascinating art. The practice of Tai Chi is beneficial to physical health, improves your powers of meditation, as well as being a subtle, sophisticated and scientific method of self-defence. As well as helping to develop a healthy body and alert mind, Tai Chi is also recognised as helping a number of other ailments such as heart and intestinal complaints, it helps to prevent thrombosis, stimulates the central nervous system, improves circulation and digestion, plus can lead you to be more even-tempered.
