Family Entrance to Nottingham Castle
Nottingham Castle has undergone a major redevelopment to bring you a brand-new world-class visitor experience. Follow in the footsteps of rebels and legends as you explore the Castle or experience the fascinating underground cave network, from dire dungeons to wondrous wine cellars. Step back in time and experience three of Nottingham’s most rebellious and bloody episodes as the Rebellion Gallery tells the story of the people of Nottingham and their inherent rebel spirit.
Robin Hood Adventures
The eagerly awaited Robin Hood Adventures is an innovative and immersive experience with an atmospheric, animated tunnel entrance, impressive mixed reality experiences of the medieval ballads of Robin Hood, longbow & quarterstaff interactives, and gaming tables area. The digital exhibits and games will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the legend and join Robin and his merrie band on their adventures. Visitors will be able to discover the stories of Robin Hood, compete in a virtual archery competition, or don the disguise of one of Robin’s outlaw companions.
You will get a 30-minute time slot in which to explore Robin Hood Adventures.
Castle Caves - Underground Adventure
A 25 minute tour exploring the foundations of the medieval castle from dire dungeons to wondrous wine cellars hear the stories of Nottingham during the time of Robin Hood and in the underground spaces where they actually happened!
It covers a distance of approximately 120 steps of varying steepness and regularities with a handrail. Some of the ground underfoot is uneven. Lighting levels are low but the tour is suitable for families and young children.
This experience is available Monday to Sunday, throughout the year. Excludes Christmas & New years
This experience will last around 2 - 3 hours
This experience is for two adults and two children.
Children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
