Then, under the supervision of an instructor, it’s your turn to grab the controls and take charge of the hovercraft.

You will take part in a thrilling relay race with others to prepare for your hot lap! You will be timed to see how long it takes for you to complete your lap both over land and water. Your time will be revealed at the end where you will have a countdown to see who the winner is.

Your day will end with prizes for each participant. You will receive a certificate and the fastest lap winner will receive a prize. (The prizes will vary from a gift voucher to visit again for free, a medal or a fastest pilot mug with Hovercraft Adventures logo on).

White Water Rafting for Two

Description

Thunderous noise, churning water and rapids all around you - some serious teamwork is required to get you through it all. This is the unbelievable thrill of white water rafting.

You can raft on man-made rapids, which are guaranteed to give you lots of white water excitement! Alternatively you can try natural white water rafting in the Scottish Highlands, where you will enjoy the excitement of this sport in beautiful unspoilt surroundings.

The session starts with a thorough safety briefing by a qualified instructor, followed by tuition where you'll learn to perfect your paddling technique. Then it’s time to take to the river on a raft.

For the man-made lovers: Pumps control the discharge of water down the 300 metre white water course allowing the centre to control flow rates, thereby altering the course’s difficulty and the skill levels required to paddle it. After a dry land briefing session and issue of equipment you will spend one and a half hours white water rafting.

You may be required to help carry the raft and equipment during your experience. Several stretches of river are used, some are a 45-minute bus ride from the meeting point (transportation is included). The rafting is dependent on water levels and therefore can only run if the water is high enough.

Description

Windsurfing is a surface water sport using a windsurf board usually two to four meters long and powered by the effect of the wind on a sail. Until the 1990's, participants would regularly use different names to describe the sport, including sailboarding and board sailing. Also despite the term 'windsurfing' becoming the accepted name for the sport, participants are still actually called 'sailors' and not 'surfers'. Why not become a 'sailor' and enjoy a session learning to windsurf or, if you've already tried it, just brush up on your skills. A highly qualified and motivated instructor is on hand, they are ready to get you hooked on the exciting sport of windsurfing.

Outdoor Proms Concert for Two with a Bottle of Bubbly

Description

Enjoy an unforgettable evening of glorious entertainment with this Outdoor Proms experience for two, including a bottle of bubbly to share.

This is a thrilling open air concert, set in the grounds of some of the UK’s most celebrated stately homes.

The event begins with a thundering of hooves as the mounted cavalry demonstrate their battlefield skill-at-arms with lances, rifles and spectacular horsemanship.

The entertainment continues with an uplifting and inspiring musical celebration of soul-stirring classical favourites, performed by the New English Concert Orchestra.

Next, the English Field Artillery Company herald the arrival of Britain’s favourite warplane. Amidst a volley of gunfire from a vintage field gun, you hear the unmistakable sound of the Spitfire engine rumbling overhead, followed by a meticulously choreographed aerial display which takes place in the evening sky above.

Then it’s time for the New English Concert Orchestra to take to the stage with classical hits such as Beethoven’s Battle Symphony, with a full complement of nearly 200 cannons, plus musket fire and fireworks providing a unique and breath-taking musical performance.

The evening will close with a traditional flag-waving sing-along, culminating in a dazzling fireworks extravaganza.

As part of your experience you will enjoy a chilled bottle of Prosecco to toast the evening, complete with two long stem plastic glasses which will be ready for collection on arrival at the concert.

Whether you’re seeking the perfect gift for your other half or a special couple in your life, this could be the unique experience you have been looking for.

For safety reasons, please note barbecues, garden flares and pets are not permitted at the concert. Most people bring a picnic although public catering is available. There is no seating at these concerts so please bring along rugs or garden chairs. The use of recording equipment is prohibited and please allow sufficient time to park your car as no vehicles are allowed on the concert area. The car park opens at 2:30pm.

Picnic Boat Cruise for Two

Description

Cruising on the Thames is truly magical. Travelling quietly you'll witness a wonderful natural display, the abundant birdlife, horses and cows all relaxing in the Oxfordshire countryside. The river itself is vibrant and busy with rowers, narrow boats and cruisers all adding to a rich tapestry of colour and activity.

During the cruise you have the chance to stretch your legs in the gorgeous countryside. Your journey includes a delectable gourmet picnic lunch, sourced from some of Oxford's finest caterers. Exact contents depend on the availability of the freshest produce, but you can be assured that this quintessentially British way to spend an afternoon or evening will deliver satisfaction.

On this trip you'll travel through the city past famous landmarks including Christchurch College and Meadows, the University boathouses and regatta course, the Head of the River and Folly Bridge. From the river you'll take in a side of Oxford's heritage rarely seen by visitors to the city. See well-loved allotments, gardens and majestic and ancient Port Meadow, some of Oxford's most beautiful and intriguing scenery. Port Meadow, a vast area of common land, has remained little changed since prehistoric times and supports plants and bird-life in abundance. At the top of Port Meadow is Godstow. Godstow was the ultimate destination of Alice Liddell and Lewis Carroll when they followed an identical route to this trip while composing 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. It is also the site of Trout Island, an inspiration for another of Oxfords literary icons, C S Lewis, and his stories of the land of Narnia. Countryside Walking Break

Description

An aerial view of almost any area in the UK will reveal an extensive network of footpaths criss-crossing large swathes of the countryside. We all enjoy the benefits of taking to the great outdoors and making the most of the beautiful surroundings.

A walking break is a great way to visit some of the most scenic areas of countryside and embrace nature in all its glory. With the full benefit of local knowledge you will be able to seek out some lesser known spots to enjoy a picnic, uncover local sites which may have been popular amongst walkers for centuries or just cast your eyes around in the hope of seeing some of the local wildlife. Experienced walkers can push themselves with some of the more challenging routes, but there are plenty of paths which are a little easier for those who prefer a more relaxing stroll. Any walker will love the chance to indulge their passion for getting out and about on a
break made just for them.

Each overnight stay booking will have access to two walking maps of the particular area chosen to ensure you make the most of your stay.

Two Night Camping Experience

Description

Escape the stresses of modern day living and get closer to nature with this fantastic Two Night Camping Experience.

Camping can be great fun and this experience allows you to enjoy all the joys of camping without having to rough it.

If you're not aspiring to be Bear Grylls then this experience is a great alternative and could be seen more as glamping than clamping with its comfortable and inviting camping pods. The camping pods resemble wooden huts and have many advantages over most tents. For a start, they are guaranteed to stay dry inside, which is particularly handy when you can’t rely on the great British weather. You can even stand up inside the pod, and, if you have kids, this can make taking them away a much simpler operation. If you're looking for a short break away with the family or just want to go escape somewhere different and quirky with your partner, camping pods are the perfect getaway.

This voucher entitles two adults and up to two young children, dependant on the location to a two night's stay in a camping pod. You can book additional nights at an extra fee at time of booking. Camping pods are generally empty shells so for comfort we recommend you take blow up beds and bedding, however, this does not apply to all pods and we advise that you check on booking. Restrictions may apply to days of the week and months of the year for some locations.

*Please note, at the Paignton location you are unable to take pets.
