Enjoy this unique glamping getaway, including dinner and a massage at the Stonehenge Inn in Salisbury. This 19th Century inn is the closest one to the monument, with a choice of unique accommodation options for your stay.
Stay in an 1850s Railway Carriage, one of only two survivors of the London & Southwest Rail carriages. Each car has been converted into double en-suite rooms with modern amenities while keeping the vintage decor.
If a train car isn’t for you, try the traditional Shepherd Huts. These huts are perfect for a short getaway with standard iron wheels, a firepit, and beautiful murals painted on the ceilings. The huts boast electricity and running water while maintaining that feeling of living in the past.
The inn is located only 7 minutes from the prehistoric Stonehenge monument. Visit the ancient stones, which are around 13 ft tall and 7 feet wide. If you can’t get enough, there is even a mini Stonehenge right on the property!
Other area attractions include Salisbury Cathedral, home to one of only 4 surviving copies of the 1215 Magna Carta, and Old Sarum, the massive hill fort from the Iron Ages.
After a day of exploring Salisbury, return to the 19th Century inn for dinner with a £30 credit towards the menu included in your stay. Choose from pub classics or sample the inn’s hand-stretched pizzas. If that’s not enough, you will both receive a choice of pampering massage at the inn’s Mystic Beauty Cabin to help you unwind.
