With more than 300 years of lavish history to discover, Blenheim Palace offers visitors a fascinating and charming experience. Built in the early 18th Century, the Palace is currently home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and was the birthplace of former UK Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill.
This picture-perfect British stately home sits nestled in more than 2,000 acres of extraordinary parklands and lush green landscaped grounds, which are studded by the greatest collection of ancient oak trees found anywhere in Europe.
Inside the Palace, you can explore the upstairs bedrooms and uncover stories behind their contents and hear anecdotes of the family and illustrious guests who have stayed there throughout the Palace’s history.
Explore the impressive State Rooms, with a selection of delicately detailed portraits, decorative tapestries and antique furniture.
Head downstairs to the area used by household staff, both past and present, and which showcases what life was like working in the Palace spanning the last three centuries.
Take in the Churchill exhibition, which celebrates the life of Winston Churchill, starting with his birth at Blenheim Palace and is enhanced with a display of photographs, letters and artefacts which give visitors a true sense of what this legendary man was really like.
Enjoy a stroll outside and wander through the great open spaces punctuated by mature trees, walk through the Italian Garden to the Water Terraces, or seek tranquillity in more peaceful areas such as the Secret Garden. There’s something wonderful for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoy afternoon tea in the Orangery Restaurant, which overlooks the Duke's very own private Italian Gardens. Dine on a selection of fresh finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and estate jam, an assortment of delectable cakes and pastries and unlimited loose leaf tea or coffee. In true Blenheim Palace style, this sumptuous spread is topped off with a glass of champagne each.
