Café Rouge is French Bistro Restaurants serving delicious all-day menu of classic French dishes with a contemporary twist. Café Rouge was launched in Richmond, London in 1989 by Karen Jones and Roger Myers, foodies on a mission to recreate real French food and wine in a Parisienne bistro-style setting. Rouge was also the favourite hangout for Bridget and friends in 'Bridget Jones's Diary', the novel that helped make us a household name! Today they continue to recreate core classics like steak frites, moules and as well as the legendary croque monsieur, salads and baguettes available to enjoy with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine.

O2, London and Café Rouge
Charlotte from Customer Service, August 2019
For a fun filled team building day out, me and some of my colleagues climbed up the O2. I can say that I was not disappointed! To begin with you are taken into a room for a little briefing video and then shown through to the changing rooms, where you change into the climbing gear. Then it’s onto the actual climb! After a few photo’s you are clipped in and can start the climb.
Looking up I thought there is no way I was going to be able to do such a steep climb, however you take it a slow pace and have lots of opportunity to look around at London beneath you! The helpful instructors are with you every step of the way and make you feel at such ease.
When you reach the top, you are unclipped and free to roam around the top of the arena which offers outstanding views! After taking in the sights at such a high the climb back down doesn’t even cross your mind and is much quicker than the initial climb up!
After, we went for food and a drink at nearby Café Rouge. There was several choices for each starters, mains and desserts, which can be rare with a set menu. We were also offered a glass of sparkling wine but as I am not much of a fan, so I declined. Nonetheless the food was extremely tasty and with it being at a well-known chain you know exactly what to expect! Pure delicious food! It was lovely to all sit down together and enjoy a meal as we had worked up quite the appetite during the climb.
I would recommend this activity to anyone, even if you are scared of heights! As you are travelling quite slowly and there is so much to look at you do truly forget how high up you are!
Dress for the weather, I believed it would be quite cold being so high up so dressed in long sleeves, however half way up regretted my decision as I was quite warm!
