Afternoon Tea on a Thames Sailing Barge for Two

Description

Come aboard a beautiful Edwardian sailing barge, moored on Maldon’s picturesque Hythe Quay for a memorable tearoom experience.

These barges boast their distinctive red ochre sails, evoke an era long since past. Once the East Coasts traditional cargo vessel at the turn of the century the Thames Sailing Barge fleet numbered over 2,000, today only a handful of traditional Barges survive.

Included within this experience is an afternoon tea for two made with fresh ingredients supplied from Maldon high street including Buntings Butchers, Greens and Crusty Loaf. Their delicious cakes, scones and sandwiches are all cooked on board daily in the galley.

Your afternoon tea will include an individual pot of tea or cafetiere of coffee, a selection of fresh sandwiches, delicious scones with cream and jam and a choice of two cakes served on a China stand. You will also receive a 20cl bottle of Prosecco each to enjoy.

Whether you’re new to horse racing or a complete professional, this day at the races is odds on favourite to guarantee you a memorable day out.

Arena Racing Company operates racecourses nationwide, making it the largest racecourse group in the UK. Their venues provide a mix of flat, jump and all-weather tracks which means they have racing all year round, hosting 39% of the UK’s horseracing fixtures. Arena Racing Company’s venues include some the best known courses including Lingfield Park.

The package includes:

- Entrance to a day at the races on a selected racecourse (a Premier or equivalent ticket) for two

This Tour for two offers an unforgettable experience at Explore England's premier organic vineyard, which also happens to be the largest and oldest organic vineyard in the UK! Start your experience by checking in at the shop where you will receive a map and a sheet of information explaining the different vine varieties and the organic/biodynamic grape growing methods used at Sedlescombe.

Durham Cathedral is one of the great buildings of Europe.
