When I was younger I was always an adrenaline junkie, you could get me up any height, travelling at any speed, in any weather. More recently I have grown more fear of such things, and so I thought I would try to rekindle my old connection with danger!
I chose the high ropes experience at Bear Grylls Adventure. There are countless activities to take part in there but I thought I would try my luck with the ropes. You begin by watching a message from Bear himself as he guides you on the do’s and don’ts of the course, before you are kitted up in your harness and helmet.
It’s then straight down the zip line; your entrance to the high ropes in true adventurer style! With 4 levels there are more than enough challenges to take on the course before your hour is up. Whilst I took the wusses way out and only stuck to the sturdy and lower level crossings, also included are single planks, as well as wobbling robes to add to that of your knees. I would definitely recommend this high rope challenge for the ultimate adrenaline rush!
Don’t look down!
