Description

Have you ever wanted to catch a shark? Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced angler, you can discover the joy of shark fishing on this trip in the beautiful Cornish sea.

On arrival to the fishing ground you will be greeted by your skipper and shown around the boat. You’ll then be able to watch as the team prepare the boat by attaching bags of ‘Rubby Dubby’ which is ground fish that helps to attract the sharks to the area.

The tackle you will use on the day consists of a good quality rod and multiplier reel holding 300-400 yards of 30-80lb line. The lines are set at different depths and are able to drift away from the boat. When a shark takes the bait the audible ratchet on the reel will sound a warning and the float will slide away. Sharks often run several yards of line from the reel and so it is important not to strike too quickly so that you allow the shark to take the bait properly.
