There’s a reason that horror is such a popular film genre - some people just love to be scared. The feeling of the hair standing up on the back of your neck, the excitement of the adrenaline rush as you jump out of your skin, and the relief as the suspense is finally over are all strangely enjoyable, and those are all the things that make a fright night experience such fun.

Fear or Phobia Experience

Description

Although they may not be considered the most cuddly or warm characters of the Animal Kingdom, reptiles are among the most remarkable creatures to walk our planet. In the words of Sir David Attenborough, "reptiles can be lethally fast, spectacularly beautiful, surprisingly affectionate and very sophisticated". Come and appreciate the reptile family in all their glory at Riverside Falconry, based in the beautiful Tyne valley, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. With miles of open countryside and ancient woodlands, The Riverside Falconry's aim is to allow everyone the chance to witness the beauty of reptiles.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a friendly reptile handler, who will give you a brief health and safety overview and recommend some of the do's and don’ts whilst handling the creatures. Your session will start off with meeting some of the smaller snakes such as the Corn Snake, which in the past could be found commonly in grass fields but is now classed as an endangered species. From there, you will be introduced to some of the larger of the snakes on the premises, including a deadly Python and regal Boa Constrictor.

In addition you will get to see the iconic venomous Cobra, however as he has a tendency to be a bit over friendly, this will be from a distance. Your snake encounter will conclude by meeting the centres largest snake, which is an enormous seven foot long. Next, you will get to meet and hold some of the friendly reptiles, such as The Gecko, Water Dragon, Bearded Dragon and a colour changing Chameleon. Last of all, you have the chance to meet and hold one of the eight legged residents, the hairy Tarantula.

Jack the Ripper Tour for Four

Description

The violent story of the Ripper is so shrouded in myth and outlandish theories that it is sometimes hard to separate fact from fiction. For the first time ever we can present the truth about what actually happened. Using the original police reports, mortuary photographs, eye witness testimonies and following the original police investigation we can bring the streets of Whitechapel in 1888 back to life. We enter the killer’s dark world and walk the cobbled stoned streets of the old East End. We will visit the original murder sites and examine the clues.

All of the guides are dedicated Ripperologists (professional researchers/authors on the subject of Jack the Ripper). The guides even organise the annual Jack the Ripper conference, the largest research convention in the world. We are the first to hear of new findings, evidence and breakthroughs. So when you walk with them, you walk with the best.
