Fancy something a little different for your next family day out? Gather the whole clan together, pull on some comfy walking shoes and set out for a memorable day out with this treasure hunt experience. Whether you want to see your local area through a different lens or take in a new city, our treasure hunt packs will provide you with hours of fun.
How it works:
Once you’ve purchased your activity voucher, a PDF pack with your scavenger hunt clues will be sent to you. You can choose from two different sets of hints:
● The easy clues are perfect for all ages. These straightforward hints ask for something you should be able to easily observe on your treasure hunt, such as information from a plaque along the way.
● The cryptic clues pose more of a challenge and are perfect for older participants. They might ask for something harder to spot, require some general knowledge, or read more as a riddle than a straightforward question.
In addition to these two sets of clues, you will also receive three bonus rounds that you can go through alongside the main hints:
● Picture round - this round requires you take pictures of certain places and objects you encounter on your treasure hunt.
● Items to collect - this is a list of everyday objects you’ll be able to gather along the scavenger hunt route.
● Pub names - available at locations where there are enough pubs around, these cryptic clues refer to the names of pubs and bars you’ll pass on your way.
Once you’ve received your treasure hunt pack, choose which clues you want to follow and print them off for everyone participating.
The scavenger hunt can be completed in a number of locations throughout England, including several treasure trails in London. Please keep in mind that this activity isn’t organised. You’ll receive your pack of treasure hunt clues by email and complete the experience on the day of your choice.
Treasure hunts in London and other cities can be completed on foot, while rural ones require driving. All of the rural scavenger hunts, as well as the majority of city-based ones are non-circular, so they will have a different start and end point.
You can choose the date and time you wish to do the treasure hunt, throughout the year.
The treasure hunt will take approximately 2 to 3 hours.
There is no maximum group size for this activity, although larger parties may want to split into smaller groups.
This experience is not suitable for spectators, but an unlimited number of people can take part.
There is no minimum age for this experience, however it is recommended for eight year olds and over.
You need to have the ability to walk for 3 hours.
You do not need any qualifications to take part in this activity, although you will need to be able to drive for rural treasure hunts.
This is for a voucher entitling the holder to any of the activities supplied by Activity Superstore up to the value stated.
Brought for a birthday gift. I did the hunt with my family and we all loved it! Looked at parts of the city we won’t normally notice

We did the adult clues, we managed to find/answer most questions but there were a couple we couldnt find, but that makes it fun, if they were all easily found it would be boring! We played with another couple, we set off 15 mins ahead which worked well. We also took photographic evidence of our answers which was fun and also clarified some things when it came to checking the answers!! We decided that one couple would buy a winners prize and one get a losers prize! Rounded the hunt off well only we both scored the same!! Ended up just swapping prizes! Would definitely do another one somewhere else.

I was given a treasure hunt as a Birthday present from my sister. I didn't know what to expect but absolutely loved it! We had a fantastic family day out, learned a lot, saw things we would have never looked at and laughed constantly. I'd definitely recommend this experience to anyone, especially if they want to spend quality time with loved ones.

This looked harder then it was, in-fact it was more fun that it appeared on paper too! I can highly recommend it. My top tip is: don't walk around staring at your feet!

Decided to do this for Mother's Day, only decided the day before but staff were brilliant and efficient - did the Surrey villages - it gets you out of your car and looking at things you would normally drive past. Looking forward to doing another.

Thank you so much for leaving us a review. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your experience! We look forward to proving further great days out for you in the future!
Yes I recommend this product.
This was a birthday gift that was a good idea to do something different, we had a lovely day around York although it was very cold and started getting dark early as we did it in December! I'd recommend you leave enough time to get around it before dusk as some things need daylight, but a great day out apart from that! We kept forgetting to watch out for pubs and find the images as well as the clued answers but there were 3 of us, 1 in charge of each aspect so good teamwork helped! There were one or two clues we couldn't find the answers to, it would help if there were pictures/descriptions with the answers to help us find it!

This treasure hunt was bought for me as a Christmas gift but I have saved it until now as I knew the family were all travelling to York for a holiday. There were 6 of us doing the hunt and the day we chose was dry and bright; which I think is important as its no fun tramping around anywhere if its wet. Although we were all adults we decided to do the easier clues so once we had found the starting point we agreed to meet up after two hours for lunch and to discuss our progress. At lunch it was clearly obvious that everyone was having a great deal of fun. Although we have been to York many times the hunt made us look at things differently, we looked up a lot trying to spot the picture clues and this gave us a different perspective of York and is historical architecture so not only did we have a treasure hunt we also had a history lesson. In short this was a brilliant day out and one that I would definitely recommend and will look to do again in a different location.

We entertained family ranging age 12 to 59. Assorted clues to challenge us all. Was disappointed I had to print all the clues myself, was expecting a pack.

We did a Treasure Hunt but as an adventure not as a competition because there were only two of us. It made a great day out and we were surprised at what we had missed on previous visits to one of our favourite towns. With two sets of main clues we can follow up with the other set later.
